Formatting or Cloning an OS

The SSD for my mom's notebook just arrive and since she has a bunch o crap on her laptop and i'm not in the mood of backing everything up today, i'd like to know if cloning the OS would impact in some performance losses. I know windows will detect that it's running in a SSD at the moment it boots in the SSD and i'm familiar with cloning HD to HD but i've never done HD to SSD.

PS: I'm using Macrium Reflect, is there any better software?

Macrium is the best you can get on Windows. If you have access to a macOS device, get Carbon Copy Cloner. CCC is much better, imo.

Brands I wholeheartedly reccomend (though do have flawed products): Apple, Razer, Corsair, Asus, Gigabyte, bequiet!, Noctua, Fractal, GSkill (RAM only)

Thank you, but no, i personally don't like the MacOS so i won't have any of them laying around hahaha
