Pump help - please!

Guys, 

 

I am sure most are now aware that i am about to buy a new rig with me forum spam of late! ha.

 

I need some advice please, I currently have an MCP655 of around 10 years old (maybe more!) with an EK Top, one of these:
sidewindercomputers_2271_55286635

there is no PWM/Tach on it, just power, i don't know the run hours etc. 

I have an EK MultiRes X2 250ML screwed directly into the top of the block, like this:

So i dont know if it will be worth me investing in a new EK pump and res combo or make use of what i have here, ideally would like RGB to fall in line with the rest of the build but not massively important.
I would also like to save funds but i dont want to just be "Oh that will do"

i am going for a similar build to this:

so i need to be mindfull of how i can mount my current Res&Pump Combo 

Perhaps i can use a radiator bracket/mount and get some new RES brackets?

Will the pump i have now has a screw to control running speed to be fair, its set it and leave it. cant be changed once installed as cant reach the grub screw.

 

Its more a case of if i can mount what i have got now and make use of it.

If it aint broke dont fix it. Pumps dont fail in any spectacular way that would take out other components in the loop. You'll just heat soak and trip Thermal Protection when it does die. But, unless the components were on their way out anyways this won't damage them.
