so im about to make my first purchase off of eBay.co.uk

and it says that there is a Money Back Guarantee if i pay with PayPal.

 

but would i get my money back if something goes wrong if i use a Debit card through PayPal?

 

a very confusing question, but i just want to make sure

eBay itself has buyer protection as far as I am aware, so you should be covered either way.

 

As for PayPal: eBay doesn't know how you got your PayPal balance, which you'll then use to pay for the item you're buying, that's kind of the whole point of the service PayPal is offering. You don't expose your ACTUAL payment information to whoever you're purchasing stuff from.
