ok)

for me - SLI is lowest possible configuration. I am a 3-WAY SLI user since 3x GeForce 8800 Ultra and to 3x 980Ti. Now I have a 2x 1080Ti @ 2100Mhz Core on Water

Now I just need to plan the loop get fittings and tube for this!

20190416_215552.thumb.jpg.df4520ee19cbe78f56896ec20c82660c.jpg

All EK, 2 x Vector GPU blocks, Supremacy CPU block, XRES 140 D5 pump res combo, SE 360mm rad, PE 360mm rad and 6x Vardar rgb fans, going to try and use PETG hardline tube, iv not done a custom loop since we were messing about with aquarium pumps and AMD XP1700's

Oh and yes some cablemod or similar cables because its a joke in there at the moment!

Finally found the time/courage to start my custom loop. First time with hard tubing and about 10-15 years since I did any custom and AIO didn't exist!

Stripped it down and mounted one of the 2080ti water blocks, wasn't feeling too confident with that and when I mounted the EK TR4 WB it wasn't the easiest mounting.

So I decided to test these items first, sadly I only had the 12mm petg and fittings so my temporary loop is built but would have been easier with flexible tube.

Just leak testing now, want to see what the CPU and GPU temps are like as they are mounted with just the 1 360mm rad before pressing on with the 2nd GPU and rad.

As it stands:

Its gonna be pretty tight with the front rad plumbed in! Bending PETG tube was certainly interesting, heating to bend easy, getting the bends in exactly the right place not so much, not a problem if you only need 1 bend in a length.

well I ran it like that with 1 GPU until now... time to tear it down and upgrade!

I'll complete the loop with 2nd GPU once this is in and tested.

Much like triggers broom there isn't much of the original build left!

Replaced the board, CPU, boot drive, CPU water block and now the case to.

Currently partially built and testing it looks like this:

20200110_111410.thumb.jpg.1e12796108c849bf2160cce4c511007b.jpg20200110_111319.thumb.jpg.7c05e79e1ee89173c7ef6e770e1f7f3e.jpg

Iv ordered custom sleeved cables from cable mod but there is a shut down so will take some time to arrive, I had to cut the sleeveing and move the capacitors on the 24pin to get it past the side rad. My plan was to run the GPU and CPU blocks on soft tube temporarily but the link between them kinked, fortunately I had a piece of PETG bent for the previous install that I could cut down to go in there.

Currently its a Lian Li O11 Dynamic XL case, ROG Zenith II Extreme board, AMD 3960X, 128GB corsair vengeance ram, variety of M.2 SSDs (boot drive on a PCI gen 4), EVG 2080TI black edition with an EK Vector block, EK velocity CPU block, EK X-RES, 2x 360mm EK rads (one PE one SE) with 6 EK Vardar fans all powered by the EVGA 1200 P2 PSU.

Currently only half of the fans are connected and only the CPU RGB is hooked up, need to sort the cabling out as its a mess in the back.

Things left to do:

Install and connect the fan controller to get all the fans running

Buy and install an exhaust fan for the back

Install the block on the remaining 2080TI

Install the 2nd GPU and modify the nvlink bridge to fit

Replace the cables when the new custom ones arrive

Swap out the res, I want a taller one with RGB

Complete the loop in PETG

So far its looking good to me at least, got just over 14000 points in cinebench R20 for the first time, CPU running mid 60s and using the motherboards performance enhancer rather than a manual overclock. GPU is boosting to 1935MHz and hitting the 112% power limit, have read you can flash another manufacturers firmware on to increase that limit but I'm not sure I want to risk it. Scored 13611 in time spy.

Got my cables from cablemod now (only the 24 pin and a GPU cable shown), also a new res to go in:

Nice build, can't believe you have had a second $1200+ GPU just sitting around for months. Glad to see if is is finally getting put to use. If you don't mind me asking, what is your use case for this build? I am assuming you do some type of 3d modeling or video editing.
