best virtual machine for mac os

dani129

i want to install mac os on my pc with vm, i have no idea how to, i googled people say i can down and install mac os just like windows on vm .

my problem is that i have used oracle vm for windows and it is the slowest laggest thing i ever used even thought i have good hardware, i7 4790k and 16gb ram and sli 970s i gave 4 cores and 8gb ram to vm and it still felt like i am using a computer from 10 years ago. is there a way to get a smooth experience with mac os using vm of any kind.

Installing macOS, VM or otherwise, is pretty hard. You have to first make sure all your hardware (including GPU and mobo) is compatible. (pretty sure SLI isn't). Then you have to get a copy of the OS, which is pretty much always not legit.

Ehh, it is OK as long as we don't go into specifics of how to get a copy of macOS.

I have runned some mac os versions on vmware, with an extention it worked just fine for me on even lower end hardware than that. You might want to give it a try

Well, google. I installed vmware player, downloaded an executable extension, and had it working. That's literally it

If I remember right, I downloaded an extention from techsviewer, together with macos mojave beta and high siera. Both ran just fine on my 4th gen 4460s, so it should work for you too

You'll need have a Linux host and VM software capable of GPU-passthrough. Normal VMs don't work that well with macOS because there isn't graphics acceleration available for non-macOS hosts. Your VM lags because the CPU is used for the graphics, but CPUs aren't designed for graphics rendering
