    I'll pile on this.

I regret getting a grip for my pixel2xl.

The portion around the usb-c port has cracked, and fallen off, and now the case doesn't have retention, and keeps slipping off.
It's also NOT GRIPPY like they advertised. the 10$ case I had on before the grip was released had more grip when standing the phone on its side on a table leaning against a glass or something for viewing. a basic silica lined case has more grip and keeps the phone standing up while the dbrand "grip" has the phone keeps sliding down repeatedly.

This product is a disaster. I wish you guys at LTT would be more careful about the products you promote.

I've never had a phone outlive a case until now. Pathetic.

I feel like you would be investing a lot of money in a new mobo and CPU for little to no perceivable performance benefit in day to day tasks and gaming. So I would say it depends on what you use your computer for and if you have been having trouble running any of the software you currently use.

The phone you're looking at getting uses USB Type C so I really don't think it'll be that much of an issue.
If it is, you should really treat your stuff better.

You need the specific cable for Dash charging IIRC, so you'd be left with regular charging.

it allows your gpu to more easily output more higher resolution textures in game as they take up more space.

that's a huge budget for a simple college laptop. What I have been using is ~$650, it is a HP Pavilion x360 2 in 1 with 128gb ssd, 8gb ram, and some 7th gen (I think) i5. Great for the basic programs and web apps for school work and it can run civ in my experience. It has been working remarkably since I got it and there isn't really anything I can complain about. But since you have the extra budget I would go for a similar slim 2 in 1 with a higher capacity ssd, especially if this is going to be your primary computer, and maybe some dedicated graphics because why not at that price.

actually, I believe it is more of a hub for these creators and you're not really paying floatplane(although payment is through floatplane) for access to LMG and Bitwit, you pay to subscribe to each channel you want and floatplane takes a cut from that. That is why you need to pay a separate fee for bitwit and lmg media now instead of one for both

Ok, you need to outsource this problem. I mean you got focusrite in and your audio is marginally better.

Most of the time, I have to turn my stereo to 80-90 to hear you in the house. I can hear other streamers at 50 or lower. The hiss makes me think I left the water running. Then the intro comes on and all of my windows vibrate, stuff falls sometimes.

    But about the other problems-

    Ok so, question @Slick, @LinusTech, @nicklmg-
Linus always says "we haven't touched anything since last week!"
Are you turning ALL of the equipment off? A week is a long time.
I assume you know to turn of or maybe hibernate the PC, but the other stuff?
No experience with epiphan, but are  the capture cards off and NOT on usb ports that are powered when the PC is off?
Is ALL of the audio and video equipment on power strips that are turned off?

A week is a long time. Shit just fucks up. A mixer does something weird, loses phantom power, a capture card screws up, an HDMI splitter overheats (Almost all do sometimes, believe me)

    So something to think about

    Another idea-
Duplicate your stream settings to your recording settings in OBS.
Maybe start by being 25 minutes late instead of 30.
Record 30 seconds. Talk loud like the show. Make it fun. Maybe run through George Carlin's seven dirty words real quick
    Shit!
    Piss!
    Fuck!
    Cunt!
    Cocksucker!
    Motherfucker!
    Tits!
Maybe run the intro as well.

    Listen to it.
    If it's good start broadcasting!

Either way when it comes to troubleshooting it's clear there's a difference between recording videos and doing it live

you used the wrong pcpartpicker link, you have to use the link on the top left-hand side of the page. the 1080ti would work amazingly on that monitor if you're going for super high refresh rate/fps. But you might also want to consider getting something higher resolution since that card is pretty over powered for 1080p.

the charging circuit on the laptop is screwed up, you won't be able to fix it by replacing the battery. If this laptop was given to you by the school then they will probably replace it. If you personally own it you probably have to go to a repair shop to get them to fix it since it will likely require them to micro solder components on the board

Johntheawesomeguy got a reaction from Roll_Like_Rollo in Experiences with non-techies
My friend kept bothering me to put up my minecraft server but I never play the game and the server uses too much of my laptops resources (really shitty laptop, can't wait to upgrade) so I decided to help him port forward one on his own (big mistake). But he is not very techy, I mean like not at all considering he was going to by a windows phone before I convinced him not to. So one day I -painfully- walked him through the process and it sadly didn't work. Of course I wasn't familiar with his routers setting because my router is very different so we tried again. But this time in the middle of trying to fix the port he says, "Oh wait, I have to update my flash". I shouted in the mic it was probably a virus since it popped up in his browser. After some more talking I figure out he has a ton of viruses and ad-ware. So I try to get him to install a free version of one but ads keep popping uple  and I was afraid he would get more viruses and malware, so I told him to run a scan using windows defender, I know its not the best but it's something. But of course it was disabled and whenever we tried to re-enable it it brought up file manager, so now im going to his house to try and fix his dang computer.

if you switch to integrated graphics as these guys said it functions as it should, it is definitely a issue with your gpu, but before you do that check that the issue is not your connection and try different cables and ports. if neither works then your gpu is dying.
