Well... Just seen this now and went through all 12 pages. I am speechless. This is amazing. I feel pride when I look at my pc and as you can see by the specs... it's aint too good. I can't imagine what you feel when you look at your pc. It's simply amazing. You are really talented and gifted and should do things like this professionally. I really wish you would have kind of like vloged the whole thing and put it on youtube but hey it was still awesome. Great work man, keep it up!

So yeah here are my results for my msi gtx 970 gaming 4g

Seems like my card in particular tanks around 3.3gb-3.4gb. Note I closed every program before I did this and I also disabled something this site told me to do for accurate results called  'desktop composition' not 100% what it does but I observed from MSI Afterburner it reduces memory usage in the desktop. Also something of note after I finished the test, twice this happened my screen went black and I got a notification saying my display driver failed bur recovered. Anyway if anyone else has results feel free to show me I'm interested to what degree it varies between cards.

Well I never said it was going to run the same on intel but it doesn't mean the 8350 is bottlenecking it as shown by my testing. You say you wouldn't recommend buying a FX for gaming but I've heard that buying a lower end cpu and a higher end GPU will give you more FPS/£ than a I7/I5 and a lower gpu with the same money. For example If I had £430 I could get a msi gtx 970 + FX-8350 or a I5-4690k and the cheapest r9 290 I could find on my source website which is a terrible cooler (XFX)..... Source : www.scan.co.uk

Ok, I honestly think you need to get your head checked.

First of all cheating... wtf is wrong with you. First of all all my results have been 100% reliable. If I knew I was wrong I would of stopped this stupid conversation a while ago or just ignored it and pretended it never happened. Hell how do I know your not cheating with the image above? I at least tried to show the game in the screenshot initially to kind of prove it. I think you might be cheating because you just don't want to admit your wrong. If you honestly want to be like that I will literally go through the effort of recording the whole process on my phone if it means that much to you or preferably you can just admit your wrong. I don't even know how to replicate those results so I could not cheat even if I wanted to. In terms of Far Cry 4 yes it's smooth OK. It seems you are just changing your argument from 99% to smoothness to whatever. I don't really know how my settings are relevant but yes pretty much maxed out expect for AA cause Far cry 4 doesn't run the best. I would go into detail if I didn't get the exact results I wanted in BF4 your so called 'cpu dependant game'. Now the valleys and dips at the end are from my alt + tabing to get the screenshot so just don't give me any bullshit. But as you can see 99%.... Do I still need to get my head checked?

Now about the whole dips and valleys discussion... They are normal even Jay got them in his testing as you can see below so stop using it as a stupid argument because you know you are wrong ok just stop! Just admit you were freaking wrong

So I did some more testing like I said.

I did far cry 4, heaven 4.0 and Advanced Warfare
Now as you can see in the next image which will be Far cry 4 GPU usage there will be dips and valleys. So they are there because of menus and maps and everything because I was actually playing the game. Just don't give me some random crap about how the dips and valleys are somehow related to my GPU being bottlenecked and to prove it you see in the benchmark I don't have any dips or anything.

    Far Cry 4

    Heaven 4.0

    Advanced Warfare

Should I be worried if my eye sight is getting worse as you said that in most games and stuff the GPU wouldn't reach 99% but look at that, 99%? hmmmmm

All right the peaks and valleys are normal I had very, and I mean very limited time to do this test and the peaks and stuff are from menus and alt + tab out to get the screenshot and other stuff so it's normal. If you do look closely there is a constant 99% section when I was actually in the game loaded and everything. Seriously 'standing still' that's your argument. I believe what you said was it wasn't going to reach 99% but hell it did. Anyway tomorrow I will play for at least a couple minutes to fill up the msi afterburner graph and prove you wrong. I will also test another or a couple more games. I think the only useful thing I have learned from you is the whole @[username] thing rather than quoting.

Ok so you may be the source of me shooting myself in the face. First of all I said  I don't really know how my settings are relevant but yes pretty much maxed out expect for AA cause Far cry 4 doesn't run the best.
I don't know if I phrased it weird but I didn't mean everything maxed out without AA... I meant everything is maxed out expect AA in others words I'm running AA but not maxed out like 8xMSSA. Btw this is normal before you say anything stupid even total biscuit the YouTube game reviewer couldn't turn it all the way up and he has 2x980s and probs a I7 but as I said because Far Cry 4 doesn't run the best...

Seriously it really made me realise how stupid you are and how much I'm wasting my time arguing with you when you said what you said about battlefield. First of if you rellly want me to do a multiplayer test I will do it and funny enough I'll come out with the same result as in all my other tests and you are going to make up some bullshit argument once again. Second of all and here is the thing that makes me smile you say  BF4 is one of the few games that works well on the FX8 in terms of smoothness. When I was getting good results in Far Cry 4 and Advanced Warefare you are the one who said "Run a game like BF4". Why the hell would you recommend a game that runs well on a FX-8 if you trying to prove how it's bottlenecking my 970. Oh, let me guess... You thought it was but once again when I proved you wrong you decide to make a completely new argument disregarding what you previously said. Your arguments are a joke!

I'm done with you dude, sorry that you're not able to utilize your 970 to the max in some games
Have I not made it clear.... I know that I can get more fps with a different cpu but it's still not being bottlenecked by my FX-8

but don't go around saying the FX8 won't bottleneck because there is tons of evidence out there showing it does in many games.
Actually it won't bottleneck and I have provided you with more than enough testing even testing the game that you requested while you just throw around your bullshit arguments and then changing them depending if I prove you wrong. Honestly it makes me sad people like you exist.

That's usually sufficient, if you end up having problems there are multiple driver uninstaller type programs.

Well "no problems in terms of power ever" is really putting a lot of pressure on anybody answering this question, I mean a lot of things could happen to cause problems with your power supply which would cause some power problems. But generally, yes, you should be fine with the exception of an Act of God. As said above they are selling on Scan.co.uk.
The GTX 970 consumes a max of 180-190 watts, each 6 pin auxiliary connector can provide 75 watts in addition to the 75 provided by the PCI Express lane, that's a total of 225 watts which gives it enough headroom for it to boost a bit.
An 8 pin increases that from 75 watts per connector to 150 watts. so an 8 pin and 6 pin connector would give you 300 watts, and an 8 pin and 8 pin connector would give you 375 watts max power available.
Now why would it need anywhere near this much, well if you plan to run it stock it won't but if you overclock it significantly then having more than 30-40 watts of headroom is nice and with GPU boost, even without manual overclocks, having that extra 50-100 watts of headroom can mean huge amounts of performance.
