Gtx 800 please pricing etc

So I've been thinking about getting the gtx 780 or r9 290 Pretty sure the r9 290 but I have been thinking the gtx 800 will be coming October and they sound more power efficient and less heat. Currently the 780 is about £350 and 290 about £300. I hear the 870 will be around 780 performance. If it does this at less power and heat that sounds like something I would wait for. As long as the non reference cards come out at the same time. Also kitguru says

That means that 870 should be around £300 which is perfect. So what do you think should I wait?

Everything is speculation and nobody knows for sure and nothing is set in stone. Wait if you want, but don't expect to be blown by what Nvidia releases.

880 is rumoured around 780Ti performance for $400-$500. GTX 870 will be somewhere in-between 780 and 770 probably, as well as being cheaper and less power hungry.

At this point, it's best to wait and see what the 800 series brings. It's not far off.
