I've bought 3 computers worth of parts from Newegg and have NEVER had an issue.

One motherboard I had shorted out, probably because of how I was handling it. But I contacted the motherboard manufacturer and they replaced it. Oftentimes you can go to the manufacturer website and get support from them. As long as you have your receipt you'll more than likely be good to go from either newegg or the part manufacturer.

Heck yeah man. I haven't been into those types of games really, but for some reason I've gotten dragged into it with the Shadowfall event. What a superfun game mode.

Nice! Interesting to see so many different tastes.

I was into the tower defense games for a bit, they can be decent time wasters.

Farcry 3 was great! The only other game we did a LAN with at my dads house. We thought it was so crazy immersive back then, actually being able to hide in bushes from each other and stuff. Puzzle style games I've never really been into, except for Portal. But Portal is kind of the exception, as it's such a brilliant game.

This is why gaming is awesome. Something for everyone. A game could be awful to someone but loved by another.

My first ever game that got me immersed was Myst.
So I love puzzle style games with lore built around them.

I also love games with a dark/despair feeling. Games like Darksouls really attract me, not for the difficulty or the combat, but because its just oppressive feeling, against all odds.

If a game has a good story, many things can be forgiven.

My days of competitive online are long over, nowadays I'm all about great story driven experiences... linear or semi-rpg.

Full out RPG games that become too slow placed and grindy though not so much.

Mostly single player or multiplayer FPS's.
Always had a soft spot for them since the very first pc we had got DOOM installed on it. So like you I've been bread by the older generation around me into liking these kinds of games.

Everyone has a preferred game or style of game, for the most part. For example I'm partial to arena shooters. My first FPS on the computer was Unreal Tournament that my dad play. Image 8 year old me listening to NPC's shouting "DIE BITCH!". It was nuts and I loved it. Played the heck out of that game and even had my first LAN at my dads house playing that game. Playing CTF on Facing Worlds or Lava Giant, deathmatch on Curse. Since then I've always had a soft spot for arena shooters.

The human eye can definitely tell the difference. Just by comparing two monitors on the windows desktop. Have a 60 hz monitor and a 144hz monitor. Move the mouse around, drag some windows. There's a large difference. It's also a difference you can feel. It's hard to put into words but when you use something of a much higher frame rate like going from 60 to 144, there's a big difference.

Destiny 2 gets a solid recommendation. There's a LOT to play for free. After you spend the many hours getting through the free content, you can shovel up the dough for the expansions, which don't cost as much as a brand new game and add a lot to it.

ALSO Star Wars Battlefront 2 gets an easy recommendation. It's often on sale and they've been adding stuff to the game like crazy. It's a stunning looking game and honestly quite fun. The story is pretty alright too. Not the best, but a neat take as it's kinda like a civil war in the empire.

Battlefield 5 is a lot of fun. They just added a Metro map, just like in the good ole days. Close quarters mayhem. People will say that BFV is trash or not as good as previous ones. But I really like it. They've really improved upon it since release. It also has it's own battle royale mode if you're into that. It's a stunning, beautiful game that has a LOT of QOL improvements over previous installations.

Star Wars Battlefront II. Yeah, the one that caused the whole microtransaction controversy. The dumb microtransactions are gone. It's gorgeous. And all the updates have been free. They've added a TON since release. They've added grevious, anakin, obi wan, captain phasma, and more. They added droidekas and some other units. It's a darn good time for a long time.

If you want something brand new, there's Borderlands 3. It's really fun and polished.

This video felt off. Like Linus wasn't too interested in it or something. The ending was weird.

Video was hard to follow, and it seemed like the editing was weird.

There have been a lot of people that have posted similar stories. I've read a bunch of them. I mean, that hasn't stopped me from getting a bunch of games on Origin, like all the Mass Effects, the Battlefields, Crysis 3, NFS, Mirror's Edge, etc etc.

I've never seen the big deal with Epic and stuff. Sure, their launcher doesn't have nearly the features that Steam does, but I actually don't care about those. Lacking cloud saves? I kinda just save games on my computer like I have been for the last few decades...

All the community stuff? Don't care at all.

I just open up Steam and play whatever game I want. Like, okay some company took Epics money and made it a store exclusive. Game still costs $60 and does the only thing I care about, launches the game I paid for. ez day.

The ONLY launcher that I'm a bit iffy on is Origin, because I've read a lot of stories of peoples entire library's being wiped out. Like xcal who has played and streamed hundreds of hours of Mass Effect, suddenly lost his copy on Origin.

Other than that, I don't see why people give two shits.

DemonicTaco got a reaction from Crunken in Will this build destroy games ?
I don't know about 2 graphics cards. SLI is pretty much dead now, with many games not supporting it. For example, in BFV, you can't turn on ray tracing unless you disable SLI. Maybe if you dedicate one card for streaming or doing....idk something. I'm sure you can put the other graphics card to use, but purely for gaming, many newer titles don't support SLI.

But otherwise, your question is rhetorical. What you listed is literally the best that money can buy right now, of course it can destroy games.
