Win10 doesn't let you go into safe mode via hotkeys anymore. Just get a iso and slap it on a USB, boot from it, then click "repair your computer"

Not really, better to get a newer laptop then an M11x, the specs of it weren't great and they're still overpriced second-hand. For $900 you can get this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834314701&cm_re=acer_nitro-_-34-314-701-_-Product

dude r u guys retarted or something, the optical cable does matter, i have the astro a50 n they make an huge difference. pc ps3 and xbox all required an optical cable to recieve dobly 5.1 or 7.1 surround sound, it says in the Manuel Dumass. if your just using an usb, ur only getting stereo sounds and if your using both, you will get the sound that astro a50 was made for. yes you will need a good sound card or just use your optical output from your motherboard. trust me, make sure to click the dolby button from the mixamp n u will be effin amazed. thats only the disadvantages of an pc, you will have to pay extra but they r way better then console audio all the way ftw.

the stock fan is alright but you'd definitely have a better experience if the rest of your build is relatively quiet, probably see a boost in thermal performance as well. Minimum recommended upgrade is a single Noctua 120mm of any prefix.

You know. I'm starting to think you're thinking of the wrong case. So let me clarify for you. The OP has a "Bitfenix Prodigy". Note that. Prodigy. The case you're thinking of is probably the "Bitfenix Prodigy-M'

I believe this to be a common thing although I have never actually looked into it. I always assumed the pops/cracks are due to the plastic frame cooling and slightly changing shape in the process. This make sense in your case as the open window is causing the plastic to cool faster than regular causing the plastic to pop back into shape more aggressively.

I would use the stock cooler till it is sorted, otherwise get a Hyper 212 and keep it once you get your L9i back from RMA.

The fan will start to degrade more.Otherwise, no extra damage can happen unless the fan isn't pushing enough air. So I would recommend contacting Noctua and ask whether it would be covered under warranty.

What you will have to do is take the cooler off, clean the leftover thermal paste on the CPU, put a pea sized amount of thermal paste in the middle of the CPU(Only if the stock cooler doesn't have any on it), and then mount the stock cooler. Also if the stock cooler has used thermal paste on the bottom clean it with the rubbing alcohol as well.

If you upgrade to a 770, it will still be a significant upgrade, but if you get a 780, and spend the 100 dollars, it will last longer as a good card. The same way that someone with a 680 basically now has a 770, if you have a 770 later it could be an 860 or like 865, but if you get a 780, it will be like an 870 later. So, spend the 100 dollars now, play games on high settings and it will be longer before you will have to play games at medium ish low settings and buy a new card, or buy the 770 and play medium ish high and wait a shorter amount of time before having to play games on mediumish low and buy a new card.

Now, without run-on sentences and fake words.

Save 100 now and buy the 770. Play games on medium to high settings and get a new card in 1.5 yrs to 2 (unless it dies)

Spend 100 now and buy the 780. Play games on high to ultra settings and get a new card in 2 to 3 yrs. (unless it dies)

IN the end, its up to you.

Haha, yeah, saving that $170 is a real shame when it doesn't come with that $10 part...

    Nothing useful or expensive.
I got an Nvidia branded 480 GTX the same way a few years ago. Not through EVGA, but directly from Nvidia. No accessories, just the card. Never noticed.
It's an excellent deal and something you should definitely consider.
It only has one year warranty but EVGA's warranty is top notch, and really, after a year you'll probably want to either upgrade, or you'll know the card isn't going to crap out. I've never had one die.
