My name is Bill and I'm a retired mechanic (thanks god). When I started working on cars you can see the friggin motors. Now they are buried under all kinds of crap. Anyway, I can sit around all day and play with my computer (and talk to you).
 
I loved to rock and I used to play guitar. Now I'm too old for that. Aging sucks but I should count my blessings because I'm still alive haha. Beat the devil I'd say. ?

I have a Rizen 5 2600 and I'm real happy with it. Real bangs for the bucks. If mine runs that good hell, the bigger Ryzens are going to blow you away.

I don't know how old are you but I spend most of my days on my PC. That's because I am old (turn 69 in a few days) and practically all my friends are dead. I'm a retired mechanic so I'm disabled from heavy work.
 
You say you have very little friends and I can understand that what with people stabbing you in the back. I see it everywhere, even with my so called friends. They're dead I'm not.
 
All you can do is to take care of yourself. Don't sit all day, Get up and move around, go out for a walk. Get some exercise and fresh air.

A week ago I went to Walmart to get some pants and thought I'd stop by the ammo counter. I noticed the 500 rnd box of Thunderbolt 22 LR for $14.99. I've read mixed reviews on it. For the price Walmart runs out of this ammo but there it is, all by its lonesome.
 
I bought it, WTH it's less than 3 cents a round. Couple of days later I shot it along with the other ammo I showed here. It shot good and haven't had a dud yet. I tossed one because it was bent. Yesterday I went to Walmart for grocery and stopped by the ammo counter and there's two of em. They were $16.99 this time but I bought one anyway.
 

I like computers because I don't have a life. I'm old, fat, ugly and disabled. I have no friends here but my PC linked me to a world wide web where I can be somebody and make friends.
 
On the Internet there's no boundaries. We all over the world have a lot in common, we are folks who just wants to make it. Internet is the best thing ever happened to me. Not only we are folks but we can shop online and get stuff at our doors. We watch TV and movies commercial free. YouTube is full of goodies to view.
 
And thousands if not millions of sites to browse for whatever that interest us. This forum is one of such site.

Browsing YouTube I found this video. I found it interesting that I'm going to build a boom box with two 8" speakers. When I ordered the stereo unit from Walmart it was $12 and change. Still not bad. It'll be fun. ?

I just remembered about this PC I picked up for $5 at the thrift store. It was missing a hard drive but I found an 80 gig IDE drive to put in and installed Kubuntu in it.
 
AMD64 3700 CPU and 512 meg memory. Everything still work on it.

Found an old box in my closet. It's full of old software and here's some of them:
 

 
I remember paying $200 for the retail version of Vista 32 Home. Couple of packages that never been opened, one that came with the CD drive and one unknown package but it has a certificate showing in the back. probably one of Windows Office software. Some old game collection CDs that probably won't run on my PC today. Still have that old Windows 95 disk LOL.

I had good buys at Newegg but one time I bought a new Asrock DGS 1155 motherboard. It arrived with a damaged socket and the box looked opened. I sent it back with an RMA and they decided that I damaged the board and returned it.
 
That really made me mad that I complained on ResellersRating site and left a bad review. The Newegg boss contacted me and said to send the board back and I'll get a new one plus a $25 credit. I go the new board and I was able to finish my build.
 
Now I buy everything on Amazon.
