turbopiki reacted to KuJoe in how to id the file format
Right click -> Properties
Look at "Type of file" for the file extension/type. Search Google for the extension if you don't recognize it.

turbopiki reacted to KuJoe in how to id the file format
Open it with a text editor and see if you recognize the file. If not, take a screenshot and post it here. If the file is too big to open with Notepad then download VIM for Windows and use that to open it enough to take a screenshot for us.

For antivirus I'd recommend BitDefender Free, then pair it with Malwarebytes.

If you think the folder/file is unnecessary you can delete it.

turbopiki got a reaction from mangjuan in help me build my 1st pc
maybe something like this i know its a little bit over your budget for pc components + i didnt add the case. If i were you i would spend a little bit less on peripherals and monitor.
if you want an SSD i would wait for GTX 960 or maybe you could get an SSD if you dont get some really expensive Monitor

yes it would.
8320 is a great chip as well.
btw, you can save a few euros if you do a search for your products on geizhals.at/de and then enter the hardware.de site over geizhals.
whoops, it looks like you already did that.

turbopiki reacted to Faceman in How to stress test my gpu
DO NOT USE FURMARK OR KOMBUSTOR IT HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BRICK YOUR CARD!!!!
Use Unigine Heaven, or Valley.
If you have games with built in benchmark utilities, you can use those as well.
-
turbopiki reacted to BrianPena in How to stress test my gpu
Apparently Furmark is bad for your gpu. Try using the Unigine Heaven benchmark and max all the settings, if it can run that a couple of times then you should be golden.
-
turbopiki reacted to Virgule in How to stress test my gpu
Unigine heaven, Unigine valley, various game benchmarks, 3D mark, ....
Don't forget to set up fan profiles for different gpu temperatures and monitor temperature and clocks during testing.
-
turbopiki reacted to Aniallation in How to stress test my gpu
FurMark. Testing will not void warranty, it's actually recommended after you get a new card to make sure you didn't get a bad unit.

turbopiki reacted to SeanAngelo in Installing new gpu
go on the amd website and download the LATEST driver from there, no need to unplug your ethernet cable
-
turbopiki reacted to Rorgash in Installing new gpu
plug and play, and Windows does NOT install drivers for your gpu EVER, gotta go to AMD´s site or use the catalyst control center to do this

turbopiki reacted to creatip123 in will headphones work?
Quite long explanation, but the short answer is, don't use that '32 ohms only' spec as a hard end fact (can't find the right word ). In reality, '32 ohms only' can power higher impedance headphones, and vice versa, those 'power up to 600 ohms' can falter badly on much lower impedance headphones.
Best thing to do is buy it, plug it in. If it turns out not loud enough, then get an additional amp. Even the cheap Fiio E6 will do the job.
