xReqt got a reaction from r2724r16 in 570 artifacting
@Satyrn @r2724r16 Hey guys, I did a little more digging as well as general tests. I plugged a new monitor aka my one (this is my brothers build) and it works completely fine. I'm going to RMA the monitor as that seems to be the cause
Thanks.

xReqt got a reaction from SavageNeo in Is this PSU strong enough
@SavageNeo I will play 1080p until March 2021 then il buy a 1440p monitor (My funds will be short until then I need time to recover after buying a 1500 pound PC) lol. If I was to play 1440p I'd always do medium with textures high to push over 144 as for warzone some area's decrease FPS quite alot.

xReqt got a reaction from wall03 in Is this windows selling sight trustworthy?
@ExtraOBO £69.99 for windows 10 home... you can get a key off of G2A for under 20 pound and just get the download and put it on a usb to install it (use the product key given on G2A) atleast that's what ive been told to do in the past.

@Ankh tech tips @Stahlmann @Mateyyy Thanks for the help. What cooler do you recommend for both 3700x and 5600x (I will look at benchmarks and make my decision on which one i'd like when available) I don't mind AIO or AIR cooling budget would be around 80-100 pounds amazon uk or overclockers uk

xReqt reacted to GenericFanboy in Getting new TV and confused about motion rate.
For video viewing and all that 60hz is completely fine. Tv's are almost always 59/60hz. Which is plenty fine. The tv itself is fine.

xReqt got a reaction from glennhl in Looking for motherboard
@mariushm Thanks for the recommendation, I don't plan to overclock even remotely as this is a fixed budget and It cannot budge for a while as I am not building this for myself its for my younger brother who hasn't any income due to being in school he's got enough saved (after I gave him the 1070 and spare/old parts I was just missing a motherboard) which he has around 70 pounds saved. @dizmo This is why there won't be a better one for him, I can only give him 10 towards it as my income is minimal at best as I just finished 1st year of college and going into second year. So if 70 pounds can provide him with a slightly more fitting one im all ears. Thanks all for comments it really helps. Leave some more if 70 can get him a better one. @glennhl and all.

xReqt got a reaction from Alex Moisan in FPS and PC issue
Hi
Specs: 1050ti i5-7400 16gb ddr4. Issue: Every game having bad fps with extreme fps drops. For example CSGO, I can run the game 180-200 fps then during playing it goes to 42 and sometimes under and it happens none stop. Things I've tried: Fresh install, Updating GPU driver, Launch options, Power saving to high performance, Nvidia control panel settings to high performance. Any help would be awesome I've struggled now for almost a week and ive found no fixes.
I am in dire need of help as this is supposed to be a Christmas gift and ive got a month to get it working.

xReqt reacted to Meganter in FPS and PC issue
FPS drops could mean hight temp causing stuttering, do you have a good airflow ? Did you monitored the temp during gaming session ?
-
xReqt reacted to Meganter in FPS and PC issue
Those are good temps indeed that shouldn't cause problems so back to some other ideas. Do you run the game from an SSD or HDD ?

xReqt reacted to Meganter in FPS and PC issue
The problem could come from this then, did you monitor the ram (it should not be the cause since you have 16Gb ). So most probably the HDD.
-
xReqt reacted to Meganter in FPS and PC issue
If the RPM is low and not a lot of cache, the HDD will have some problem to keep up leading to stuttering, it will also overheat causing more stuttering.
For example, my low games are on an HDD, when I download or move files around I have horrendous stutter. This never happen on my games that are on the SSD.

If you can get a SSD it's a better option too.
You can set a USB to install W7/8.1/10, it's well explained on Windows website so don't worry about that.

xReqt reacted to Meganter in FPS and PC issue
Definitely the HDD since you have enough rams and no heating issues. Although, did you monitor the GPU and CPU load ? If the GPU is at max (above 95%) it's normal, if the CPU is also at max too, that could cause the stuttering.

Yeah so it's the HDD, 100% means high temps (because it's turning at full speed to keep up) + slow everything.

Yeah the conclusion is that it's definitely the HDD causing the stuttering. You can get a 7200RPM instead, but a SSD will be better in every way (no noise, less heat, faster).
