@GenericFanboy Hi, Its going to be end of the bed distance on a wall mount arm so not far at all. I just want to know if the Hz as well as ms is good enough.

For video viewing and all that 60hz is completely fine. Tv's are almost always 59/60hz. Which is plenty fine. The tv itself is fine.

Hi,

If I ever have a tech issue no matter if its gaming monitors to TV's I come here for answers as I get them very fast. So straight into it. I am getting a 43inch 1080p Smart TV (https://www.argos.co.uk/product/9407051) and it doesn't display hz or ms which confuses me. It says " Motion rate" so my question is what Hz and ms is this? very strange.

Thanks

xReqt

Hz is how many times the monitor refreshes every second. Ms is for how much lag the monitor has from the input to the panel

Hello,

It's a TV so usually they don't specifie the Hz (refresh) and ms (latency).

Usually TV are set to 60Hz (overclockable) and the latency is pretty high (20-40ms).

Depends on how far away you put the tv. I guess the quality is fine for a budget ish tv, But if you put it all the way on the other side of your screen, 43 inches becomes very small

It looks decent, I would look more into color accuracy etc above refresh rate and latency for just watching movies etc.

It states its got some fancy colour settings and such so I guess its decent. I just don't want to look at it and feel like its sluggish or anything.

The fuck? that aint a small tv.

If you put it far away it will be. But thats the case with anything, Put it further away and it becomes smaller. A 43 inch screen is fine. At the right distance.

It's 60hz and you may get 20-40ms of latency. If you wan't something better get a higher refreshrate TV. Here is a comparison with some other LG TV, unfortunately they don't list response time for this model:

Did some searching, on a dutch site called tweakers its listed as 50 hz. Which would still be okay? But you could get a 60 hz tv for a higher price i guess.

So @xReqt The answer is 50Hz. And probably as @DoctorNick said, 20-40 ms.

This is on sale (it's 299 but whatever, it's 4k though) - got a min response time of 9ms - 32ms max - there is probably a game mode which is between the two.

@DoctorNick Hi, I was under the impression that in order to run DVD's and such i'd need to get a 4K blueray player. Is that wrong because in my head that doesnt seem correct. I just have a standard DVD player that says "upscales to 1080p" (I cannot afford another one rn as all my money is going into this)

As long as it uses HDMI it's fine. The TV will work with lower resolutions as well.

@DoctorNick Ive looked at the one you recommended and it seems perfect but I am unsure  if it'll fit on a wall mount arm https://www.amazon.co.uk/RENTLIV-Bracket-Articulating-Extension-Installation/dp/B07Z96WYLS/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?crid=ELJ7OYY0SLB9&keywords=32inch+tv+wall+bracket&qid=1576741567&sprefix=32i%2Caps%2C142&sr=8-1-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUExU0FWSU1EUFVEVTg2JmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwODgyMzMxMVpWWlhCS0xVU1c0SCZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwNDA3Njk2MVdDS1cySTMzOFlUSSZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX2F0ZiZhY3Rpb249Y2xpY2tSZWRpcmVjdCZkb05vdExvZ0NsaWNrPXRydWU= not to mention is over the budget. I'll keep looking but I dont think I have the extra money until March (Im only 17 so I save up from smaller events christmas birthdays you know the struggle lol)
