CPU temps

Hi,

Ive been playing a lot of warzone lately and have become aware my CPU is going past temps ive ever seen it go before so to solve it I up'd the fan speed on my AIO cooler to 1400rpm as well as the other fans to 1200rpm and applied new thermal paste (Arctic MX4) and i've came back to 70 to 75c which is pretty daym hot. whist I fixed my GPU temp from 75 to a nice 65 while ingame it seems the Cpu goes to 75+ quite a bit. The cooler I use is a Corsair H100X I am thinking it needs to be replaced for an air cooler (Fuma 2 or D15) which isn't a problem I can do that I just want to know if doing so would improve anything.

My CPU has auto OC'd itself from 3.2 to 4.2 which happens when I enable XMP for my Ram. I am unsure if this greatly effects the temp.

(Side question would a 3.2mhz i7-8700 be good paired with a 2070 super)

Thanks in advance

if you are asking a question, it depends on the game or workload.

The 8700 (especially the K version) is a known heat machine and Warzone is fairly CPU heavy.  That being said, a 3700x with a 360mm AIO I never go above 65c in Warzone.  70-75c isn't hot by any means, and you should be fine.

@Samfisher Appreciate  it, I ended up getting a fan under my desk which will hopefully remove the hot ear away from my legs as it sucks having to sit being hot while gaming.
