I was skeptical as well when came to anything other than a full size layout. I'm glad i went with a 96% layout and QMK made it very usable for me.  This is coming for someone that required dedicated media and calculator keys that Ducky provided.
 

Cut a sandwich bag and place it in the post on the cap. It should keep them snug.

Things have escalated quickly.  This had turned into another quarantine project.  Ended up going full custom with box pinks.  Currently developing a modified QMK firmware in Visual Studio since IntelliSense is such a crutch.  Gonna get those lock leds working.
 
 

Box pinks have a nice weight to them.  Louder than whites but not as loud as jades.  I like them a lot.

I went with the A3 and enjoy them. Got it imported in white.  I am not sure if the pushing for the A4 would be worth it for the higher bit rate with high/low gain selection.  Both are only powered by usb.

It's usually called "GSM buzz" or some variety of that name.
 
The reason why it happened is because most 2G (EDGE) phones used an techniques called Time-Division Multiple Access (TDMA) to allow multiple calls over the same frequency. It worked by having multiple phones sending data in different "time slots". It's like if you had a room full of people who all wanted to say something, so each got assigned 1 minute to talk while everyone else had to listen.
 
When you got a phone call over 2G, your phone received short burst (roughly 0.5 ms long) of data from the cell tower. This first bursty negotiation was necessary because your phone needed to negotiate a time slot it could use to send data. Otherwise it wouldn't know when it was its time to talk.
As it just happens, audio equipment is pretty good at picking up the 800-900MHz frequency used by GSM. So your entire speaker wire essentially turns into a giant antenna for those signals. That coupled with the burst of the initial negotiation for time slots created the distinct buzzing sound.
 
The reason we don't hear it nowadays is because we have moved away from TDMA, and mostly moved away from the 800-900 GMZ spectrum as well.
 Plus, audio equipment is probably better shielded these days than they used to be.

Overwhelming misery.  It has the short backspace.

Personally, I'd go for a prime lens, around a 50mm equivalent.
 
I've usually shot pictures of your described subjects with a 30mm APS-C prime lens (45mm equivalent field-of-view) and it performs wonderfully.
 
The advantage of the EF/EF-S mount is that there's an abundance of affordable prime glass out there.
 
One question though. You didn't get it with an 18-55 kit?

New front and rear bike hubs.  Rebuilt my old hubs before they came in.  These get to live in a box until i feel like spending $200 to get these installed and trued to a rim.

I feel like this is the only thing Trijicon makes under $1,000.

Probably out of stock.  Doesn't have to take down amazon listing if they set an outrageous price.
