You didn't mention what kind of games you play. If you're more into slower paced games, you'll get more out of a decent HDR display than if you're squeezing every last millisecond out of response times. There is at least one good, budget-friendly HDR monitor on the market now. Might be worth checking out. Basically, you're trading off a bit of response time to get decent HDR on a $280 budget.
 
 
There is not much difference between a contrast ratio of 800:1 and 1000:1. Both are equally bad when compared to stronger alternatives like VA, let alone OLED. This LG option is still better than the two Dell and MSI models mentioned above, despite the lower contrast.

Unfortunately I live in Malaysia, things here stay at MSRP even well after they are outdated or obsolete. g274qpf-qd here is actually slightly more expensive than the E2 lmao. Unfortunately q27g3xmn is not available here.

I see, I will look into this further, since LG is actually a brand I trust more than Dell and MSI. Thanks for the input. 

Then I should probably go with the MSI, I buy the monitor online but I can pick it up from the store and inspect them. The shop that sells the Dell monitor is in a different state entirely in my country while the MSI's shop is just 15 minutes drive away.

I have been told it can depend on the monitor, I would not know about this viewsonic however on my ultra-wide LG I was capable of setting a custom refresh rate through nVidia control panel to the 75hz just fine with no artefacts, using just V-Sync I already can hardly notice stuttering.

It's actually Asrock H81 Mobo with Non-z overclock, I don't think it can OC 4690k. Sry, should have mentioned that. 

So I've upgraded from a 750 ti to a 960 3 days ago, I have huge improvement over some titles such as Tomb Raider, Metro last light or titles that utilize all of your gpu power. 

Thought I have one problem with some of the games, such as Battlefield 4 and Fallout 4, my cpu usage spike up to 100% constantly, which is normal for me, but the gpu usage is quite low, below 60% most of the time, 50% average, sometimes spike up to 80~90% in BF4. I suspect this might be cpu bottle-necking?

My question is, would upgrade to an i3 4160 or 70 solved this problem, would it gain back the gpu usage in titles that love your cpu power? I played at 1366x768 btw. I know it's a shitty resolution but I want that high frame rate in demanding game. 

Edit: I can't really afford an i5, even the entry level one as it's almost twice as much, the value of my country's currency dropped make it even worse for me.

I've bought a Huawei phone three years ago and I regret it, so I don't think that this is going to be a good thing.

I enable it via Nvidia inspector, with GT555m, works good, though the fps is not as good as advertised, I think it is due to non native support, or my gpu is just too old, still better though. Here is my result of JC2. To my surprise, 4x mfaa (44fps in JC2), which has the quality of 8x msaa according to Nvidia, looks and run better than 8x msaa in JC2 (38 fps).

As you guys may or may not know Youtube now support 60fps video. I was experimenting with it using Bandicam and upload one in 60fps. Took me almost 2 hours to get things right. What to you guys think? I'm looking forward for tech youtubers start uploading their videos at 60fps, it would be so nice.

Lol, I was just watching a Machinima video on one of the multiplayer maps for Advanced Warfare and you are soo right. It's just a rehashed version of the previous games. Wow. They just don't know how to throw away their previous game and start fresh do they?

Despite all the piracy they claimed to affect sales, pc avenue still surpass console avenue, that said, either pc games are much more popular, or there are just as many console pirate gamers. 

erm, I'm not looking forward to advance warfare to be honest, I can already see they used the same animation style as the previous one, which is a copy of another previous, so on and so forth. Graphics look kinda nice, but, I think this is going to be another unbalanced and unoptimized shit. The series just gone down hill for me after Mw2.
