Well for a big company like valve this is not right IMO. I remember they have this hand book on how great it is to work for valve but it look like crap tbh. From the amount of cash they get, they do be cheap. Valve gets it quite easy, if this was EA everyone would be going crazy right now lol

I know there a lot of gaben fans here but they make so much from CS:GO but there are ton of hackers still on (on the Europe side servers (don't know about other areas)) that they haven't bothered to seriously fix.

Its nice to see some decent comments from you guys. At least some people have senses and know valve is in the wrong.

In the meanwhile Sony employees have been paid to falsely testify that their data had been stolen when in reality nothing had happened. Sony then hacked North Korea to make sure they couldn't prove their innocence.

This fanboy crap is getting really annoying. It's like some of you just haven't been in the PC business long enough to cure yourselves of idiotic loyalty. It's understandable to pick a favorite when 2 competing GPU's are within 5% of each other even though the consumer should strive for the best price/performance ratio. However I see people so entrenched in fanboyism and desperate enough to shoot down everything the competition has to offer. Which is beyond retarded because guess what? Even If you feel nothing but irrational hatred for AMD, you should at least have the open mind to realize how you may benefit from that.
Company A makes a better product than company B, if you are a fan of company B, you can look forward to better or cheaper products from company B, it's that simple. But noooo, some of you want AMD dead so badly, you must be hallucinating if you are thinking that Nvidia would continue to improve each generation without AMD around to push them.
Even if you are a diehard Nvidia fan, you should hope rumors like these pan out because A) you need AMD to keep Nvidia in check (hello $1k GPU's) and B) Nvidia has to respond to a good AMD product in a way that benefits the consumers.

And no, I am not a AMD fanboy, I'm a fan of price/performance. It doesn't matter if you are building a $500 or a $5000 PC, you should always go for the best performing parts at the moment, loyalty to specific businesses is beyond retarded, you are a consumer and they are selling you products.
For the tinfoil hats out there still thinking I'm some kind of AMD shill, here is a receipt from a card I bought last night. And since pics of older PC's I built, here is the oldest one I can find, some of you probably didn't even know how to read when these came out:

What? AMD isn't late on their new GPU. As far as any news articles has stated, it's still on schedule.

As for FreeSync, did we even ever get a timeline for that? We JUST THIS WEEK had Samsung announce FIVE FreeSync monitors being released soon. FIVE!!! How many G-Sync Monitors were there at release? One? *Slow clap*

I'm sure you're not a fanboy, but your post seems to sway pretty heavily into the Green Camp.

As for the CPU's, AMD was nearly bankrupt. They could not afford to put in the huge R&D resources necessary to compete with Intel, so they've been focusing on Mobile (Laptop/Tablet mostly), where they make most of their money. And they've been releasing new Mobile chips constantly, and they've been heavily innovating there too, with HSA, HuMA, etc.

Now that they've got some actual cash (Thanks PS4 and XBox One!), they're heavily investing in R&D to create a brand new x86 arch from scratch. They're bringing out the big guns, Jim Keller and all (Oh yeah, he's the guy who designed the single most successful CPU - probably ever - but certainly for AMD - and he just spent years working for Apple's chip development, so he's got mad skillz).

Obviously we won't see ZEN for another year (Probably a bit sooner with leaks, early previews, and engineering/review samples), so we should wait and see how it goes, but AMD is not out of the game yet.

All too true, but the exact same situation happened to NVIDIA MULTIPLE TIMES in the past. Fermi? You could cook a ham with that arch. The point being that NVIDIA fixed those issues, despite them being just as bad as 290/290x (if not worse).

Yet people won't give AMD the benefit of the doubt? I get that a lot of the members here are really young and never experienced those older cards, but that in no way invalidates them. NVIDIA learned from their mistakes and have made some great power efficiency cards (Kepler and especially Maxwell), but not that long ago (fermi) their cards were hotter then the sun. Why do people expect NVIDIA to learn but not AMD?

It just appears to be blind fanboyism. Maybe that's not the case, but that's the way it looks. AMD has the talent, and the engineering necessary to do this. the 290/290x, despite it's thermal issues, is a GREAT card, and a big leap from the HD 7970 of the previous generation.

My biggest gripe is that they are just blindly accepting/assuming this is a flat out lie. I would have thought we were more logical thinkers here and would be able to reserve judgement until confirmed review samples hit. Besides everything we are hearing about the new arch matches these (albeit weird) benchmarks.

I think some oven jokes are funny even though I am not particularly fond of Nvidia. The "no driver" jokes are sometimes funny as well. The same goes for all the 1.7% yield, wood screws and Fermi heat jokes that were everywhere at the Fermi launch.
If you can't laugh at jokes about your favorite brand then you're taking it far too seriously.

Yes, we get it. You like NVIDIA. But really people? Why don't we wait and see. Given everything we know (which admittedly isn't much) about upcoming 3xx arch, this is exactly the performance the 380x should be at.

What is highlighted are tha answer for my post. Everything else is basically flexing muscles trying to show off
You have a great experience in stock market. That is great, and as you mentioned you were mentored by your parents. it is an interesting, yet unrelevant information though.

"too poor to be cheap" until we can afford high end parts, many people cannot eg India. until we have a broad variety of decision, the do not.

in the 2nd paragraph, you are stating that AMD had bad management in the past. did I argue with that? did I mentioned the opposite? you are mixing something up here regarding an answer.

I am sure more people uses an APU+GPU, not 3 way crossfire as it is considerably expensive.

what you were answering here? you try to prove something here that does not meant to be proven.

What? you were stating out of the contest of our conversation, and then says you speak the truth? not on the topic that we were talking about.
And again, no one else here worries about stocks as we are not stock  brokers.

Are you sure that you are not mixing stuff up? for example you throw up 2% there that came nowhere.

APU's drive 73% of AMD's total revenue. Hence why they continue to spit them out instead of updating their FX branded line of microprocessors. Which is a smart move for AMD as people aren't going to buy new FX chips that offer 10% more IPC but lose most of them gains due to lower clock frequencies. A prime example is the A10-7850k being slower in CPU related tasks than the A10-6800k out of the box. Tho half of the APU die packs another critical architecture that AMD has been improving upon and makes new APU's much more appealing. People will often buy the A10-7850k due to it having a superior iGPU architecture and several more SPU's. Given for what their APU's are how they are priced makes them quite impressive. The A10-7850k can handle pretty much all 720p gaming with ease. Once and if AMD adds on-chip HBM with their future APU's it will be game over for Intel. The A10-7850k doesn't even justify it's own gaming performance because of being choked by memory bandwidth. By the time and once on-chip memory becomes and option AMD would of stepped up their game by packing newer GCN based compute units and more of them into their APU's. I wouldn't be surprised with Zen that we see quad core with 640 SPU's and at least 1 GB of HBM. Which for budget and Mini-ITX builders would be quite an appealing chip to buy. Especially given the performance that can be had if you stuck it under an AIO and overclocked both the CPU and iGPU. Let alone the performance they would offer in mobile form factors such as laptops. The desktop gaming APU market isn't quite nearly as big as it could be but that's because the APU is still in its infantry stages. As the innovation progresses we will see much stronger APU's. Much like the ones inside the PS4 and XBox One for that matter. AMD could launch a monster APU for a G34 similar socket. Tho the cost of it wouldn't exactly be appealing and I think it would initially send a scare into the consumer market. Start small and then get big which also gives the company time to milk revenue while having a next step plan. I personally run a A10-6800k with a HD 5870. The only reason I run a discrete is because I got it for free. Otherwise I would stick to the iGPU as I don't play anything ultra demanding.
