And my home productivity PC - Red Mist. Not bad, but single core performance... Ouch.

My latest attempt on optimizing the environment - slightly higher score, 17321. Plus not so great single core of 363 (yeah, i know, new Xeons just don't cut it in single core game).

My Corsair HX1000i did the same thing to me while gaming with restarts. I replaced the PSU and it went away, although I didn't have a issue with spinning like you do. I replaced the PSU with a Seasonic, no issues.

I believe if you have a VPN you can mount the share directly. VPN I think uses one of the OSI security layers for security, but I forget which one -- for security.

This might help. I really like Level 1 techs they know what they're doing.

Apparently they do exist : https://www.newegg.com/global/gr/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814137254
But something looks wrong with the pic you linked the PCI bracket seems to be lowered.

Sounds like a engineering bug. If it requires drivers may be the drivers.

Paul's Hardware I think is installing a FreeNAS server on the small motherboard system.

It's probably how the DNS is setup on your network. The FQDN I think is what you're talking about.

lttUser1234 got a reaction from moderategamer in Kingston 480GB SSD
Kingston has been making computer memory for a long time. I would opt for the Samsung though as it's more of a preferred brand at least for me. My top brand is Crucial you might want to look at those also.

The Alienware AW3418DW has gotten pretty good reviews for a ultra-wide display. There are some issues with the monitor and it having bad levels of bleeding on the backlight. If you're going for just a WQHD display the PG279Q seems to be the most popular.

Hello welcome to my build log. I haven’t built a custom PC since 2011. Right now I’m using my 2015 15-inch Lenovo laptop and a 26-inch legacy Sony TV as my computer.
Here’s the parts list for the new workstation setup:
* CPU: Intel Core i7-7820X
* MOBO: MSI X299 GAMING M7 ACK
* SSD: Samsung 960 PRO M.2 512GB NVMe
* GPU: MSI GeForce GTX 1070 Gaming X
* RAM: Crucial 32 GB Ballistix Elite DDR4-2666
* PSU: Corsair HX 1000i
* Cooling: Corsair H100i V2
* HDD: 2x 4TB Western Digital Gold, Sata 3, 128mb Cache
* OPTY: 2x LG WH14NS40 Blu-Ray Burners
* CASE: Lian-Li PC-D600WB
* OS: Windows 10 Professional 64-Bit
* MOUSEPAD: XTracGear Ripper XXL
* MOUSE: Razer Mamba Tournament Edition
* KEYBOARD: Ducky One 2, Cherry Black
* MONITORS: 3x NEC EA224WMi-BK, IPS 1080HD, 22-inch
If you’re interested in a cost, it cost for all the above parts about $4,200. I also bought about $130 in new artwork for my office walls.
Here’s my desk with the current old computer on it. It’s a IKEA Linnmon corner desk in black with the stainless steel square legs. I vape so the picture might be a bit hazy.
Here’s a picture of my 2015 Lenovo laptop. It only has a core i3 so it’s pretty slow on some things. Happy to be upgrading to a i7 8-core with 16 threads. Also to the left is my trusty Sony 26-inch TV which I use as a second display over HDMI.
Some of the parts arrived today in the mail from FedEx. The rest of the parts are arriving on Thursday and I will update the thread and start the build this weekend assuming everything has arrived and it’s time to get started.
