Then you'll need the 3600, the 2600 weakest point is 1080p144hz, for that you still need 8700K's for that many frames on anything not e-sport.
watch youtube video tutorials on how to update the bios on your specific motherboard, AMD warranty service will provide you a bootkit if you contact them.

It doesn't sound like the hassle is really worth it for the 3600 in your case. The 2600 will still perform pretty darn great for you. If you're strapped on your budget, I wouldn't sweat it too much. You gotta value your own time you'd have to invest into figuring out how to update the boards bios for the 3600 too. Worst comes to worst, you buy the 2600 now, and then upgrade when there's a damn good deal later down the road.

Yes what you've shown there are frametime spikes aka stutters.  Generally speaking you'll see a lot more of that with an insufficient CPU, but it's important to keep in mind that all games can do this to some extent, particularly if they are poorly optimized, as a fair number of AAAs always are.  If you can, find benchmarks of that game from somewhere like Gamers Nexus that clearly shows averages, as well as 1% and 0.1% lows for a variety of hardware.  If most setups seem to give pretty tight results with just a few (or no) CPUs having issues, then spikes (when present) should be blamed on the hardware, but if the game has very spread out results across a wide range of hardware, then you know the game is just like that and it's not indicative of a poor CPU.

Here's an example of a very poorly made game that would be a bad experience on any hardware:
If you see this game stutter a lot, that doesn't mean it's bad hardware because clearly it does that on everything.

Here's an example of a consistently good experience across a wide range of hardware:
If you are seeing this game stutter a lot, it would thus be concluded that the hardware is the issue since it works fine on everything else.

Here's an example of a problematic pairing involving a specific game and hardware:
Despite respectable averages that are up among what everything else can achieve, the 0.1% lows of the Radeon VII here are trash, falling somewhere between a vega 56 and 2060, well under where it normally sits.  Be mindful of the possibility of situations like this as some hardware just doesn't like certain games, and vice versa.  I've seen many other examples of this same effect before involving hardware from the green and red teams.

Literally any b450 motherboard has the capability to run a 3600 provided it has the needed bios update, I'd suggest the msi b450m bazooka, it's at a good price of $80 and it has some of the best power delivery of any b450 board, the memory overclocking is also very nice on this board.

Since this is a new launch, let's say for all intents and purposes that it's all motherboards. AMD's boot kit mentions specifically 2000 series CPUs on 300 series boards, but chances are they'll expand that for 3000 series CPUs on 400 series boards.
    https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/pa-100
Of course it doesn't hurt to ask AMD support for a boot kit to update B450 boards, or find a local shop willing to lend one.
B450 is a great choice for gaming on a budget setup, the 3600 isn't exactly some power hungry beast compared to the 2600 and 2600x, and PCIe 4.0 isn't a gaming focused feature.

You buy a 3200mhz kit, then install it.

boot into the bios and set XMP or docp (it’s literslly the same, just different name) profile to 3200mhz hit f10 save exit reboot and you should be sweet.

But tomorrow is computex and we might hear more about zen2, could also well be we have to wait another 10-14 days for E3. July 7th or so I heard might be release of the zen 2 CPU’s

Very likely, at least for gta v - csgo on the other hand should run fine even on a dual core, if the stuttering is very frequent there may be some other problem with your system. I'm pretty sure your graphics card is innocent unless it's damaged.

For 1080p you can get away with a cheaper rx 580.

IMO your CPU is the really weak point here. Motherboard and CPU should be the top priority, then GPU, then lastly RAM.

A 1050ti is ok for 1080p, you could try getting something like an i5 6500 (they go for ~60$ on ebay) which would fit in your current motherboard.

I subscribe to it every so often when I get the itch to play Sims 4 or Battlefield.  The purpose of it, I think, is to get you hooked on the base version of these games so you feel the need to purchase the expansions and DLC... because the DLC is not included.

well its not the worst prebuilt i have seen but the PSU is questionable, what do you have now? slapping a 1050TI to it would probably be my choice if you have a desktop

then well, if you really dont want to build it yourself, this isnt the worst i guess. has OK upgrade options as well but you are going to want to change the PSU and really for $500 used you can get a system with an I5 and a 980TI and 16gb of RAM, at least where i live and based on the deals i have managed to pull off with ease

    1. A good way to visualize monitor sizes is to take a tape measure and extend it to the length you want a couple of feet in front of your face. 24 inch is average size.
    3. Unless you have a highly trained eye (like professional gamers), you won't be able to the notice the difference between really low response times. Just make sure it's under 10ms (most are).
    4. IPS is the best panel type for color accuracy. Also be careful not to get an anti-glare(matte) monitor. It makes the colors look all washed out.

    Welcome to the forum!!!

There probably won't be a big difference between 21.5 and 24. If you look really, really close, then yes, it will look slightly more pixelated, but you would need to get really close and focus really hard on it. 1000:1 contrast ratio is perfectly fine. 5ms is not too much, most people can't even notice 8ms. I love IPS panels, they look really good, VA is up there too. A high-end TN panel will look good, but viewing angles and color will still definitely be sacrificed.
Check out the Asus VC239H, IPS panel, 1080p, 60Hz, 5ms? response time. All around a very good monitor. I have the 27-inch version and I love it.
