Preferably plug both of them for stable power delivery

Might be a wise consideration, Mr. Visa is eaves dropping.
-
QuikMiner reacted to greenmax in Bypassing charging port on old laptop?
Take off the port, cut the wires, buy a $5 soldering iron and solder and then insulate the entire area with a big goop of liquid electrical tape.

It's a little hard for my retarded self to understand what you're asking.
If you're asking if it's possible for you to chop off the dc plug and dc socket from the charger and laptop respectively and then solder the wires together, then yeah, that would work.

QuikMiner reacted to TetraSky in Samsung notebook function key not working
NOPE, you'd think that right?
Microsoft f*cked that one up. What it really does, is essentially just delete your softwares and documents... but it doesn't actually clean itself up... Because there's no "clean" OS folder anywhere on your PC and it isn't downloading anything. Meaning if you had a driver issue or some other Windows related issue, the likelihood that it will still persist after a reset is high. (It sure as hell did when I had graphic driver issues and Windows Update issues...)
It would be perfect if MS kept the install files somewhere on your drive, either in a recovery partition or hidden in the Windows folder, but that'd take an extra storage space, can't afford that, right.
That's like if you wrote a lot on a piece of paper and then proceeded to erase it all.. That paper is going to be stained, wrinkled and have marks of having been written on before afterward, it will never be back to a "perfect" blank state.

Was the computer reset through/with Samsung's utility or did you use Windows's built-in feature ? Or perhaps you've used the ISO?
If you've used Windows's built-in Reset feature... Just do a complete format, the reset feature doesn't work as well as advertised, it leaves a lot of garbage behind and any issues you may have had with drivers will persist as well.
If you've used Samsung's utility... Was it through the Windows application or by pressing a key at startup to enter recovery mode?
If you've formatted with the ISO from a USB drive/disc... Well ignore all the above because everything should've worked when you tried installing the driver. Have you tried using their Samsung update software?

From what I could find, I'm guessing your laptop is the "NP270E5E" ?

This pc will have 60 fps on 1080p in most games. I don't know where do you live so I didn't care about the shipping price.

If you do get the 2200G build with a B450M board, you can probably get away with some minor overclocking on both the CPU & RAM to get a little more juice out of it.
The AMD stock cooler thats bundled with Ryzen chips are decent enough to handle some minor OC
-
QuikMiner reacted to BigRom in Looking for cheap low-intensity gaming setup
Its slightly over your $250 budget, but I sacrificed a discrete video card in favour of getting a much better processor whose integrated GPU isn't actually that bad compared to a GT1030 anyway But really at that price point, you probably have to go used to get better bang for buck.

craigslist and local used market. school PCs often gets tossed out for new ones, as such they are a nice pickup.
-
QuikMiner reacted to LukeSavenije in Looking for cheap low-intensity gaming setup
refurbished ones are a option, but just looking around on the used market in general (ebay, craigslist, things like that) is recommended too
just have a test suite ready
-
QuikMiner reacted to GoldenLag in Looking for cheap low-intensity gaming setup
about twice the performance or more. (uhd 620 vs vega 8 )
-

Fortnite is more cpu bound from my experiece, but 60 fps might need some lower settings, i got it around 50 on 1080p mid-low with a gtx 745
-
QuikMiner reacted to LukeSavenije in Looking for cheap low-intensity gaming setup
better actually, it should do the 1080p 60 fps you wanted, but of course a 290x is better
-
QuikMiner reacted to MeatFeastMan in Looking for cheap low-intensity gaming setup
The integrated graphics are much more capable on AMD than on Intel. Minecraft will be more than playable on this. Roblox should be fine too. Fortnite is more of a struggle and you're probably going to need to go to 720p to get that 60fps mark.

Very difficult to reach that 250 mark. If you can stretch just beyond 300 you could get this:

So this is the best system you're gonna get that's anywhere near 250 if you're willing to pay this sort of money.

you're probably better off with a second hand setup

you options honestly involve the Used market. you cant get a decent new PC at that price. while the Athlon GPU is good, its not that good.
so you are buying this in 8 months (ish)?

I'm not a hardcore anything fan. I prefer Windows / Android but hate Apple because of their overpricing and lack of compatibility with non-proprietary products.

It's really entertaining arguing with a brainwashed apple fan for some reason.
