I typed that in the wrong box, tried to do an update, but the drink was too strong. Haha, have a good one no less!

  2. Remember that anti-sag brace I was talking about, yeah... scratch that. Fuck Alu for this purpose, of course it broke while bending it. I need steel or something that I can bend. For the meanwhile a piece of PVC pipe will do. :D

I can relate much more to the ghetto approach lol.

If it works, it works. :D I might of figured out how to fix the situation though. It will include some angle iron and rivets. We'll see. :D

  3. So over this weekend I'm planning on making a GPU anti-sag brace from aluminum/aluminium. And because simple solutions are too easy, I wanna triangulate it and use front fan as a mounting point. Should be interesting. :D

Nice to know you'll be working with aluminium ;P.

Lovely looking metal tho! - should go great woth the white theme, keep us posted!

Sure will, it will end up black, white, or with amateur polish. Depends. :)

  4. Little sneaky peaky. I quickly installed Phanteks cable kit today, gotta say that the regular PSU cables was one thing that really bugged me about my build, it looks so much better now. Cables need training and little attention to detail still. (And yes I need to dust my PC, didn't really had a time with work and such :D)

  5. First impressions of the MSI RTX 2070 ARMOR 8G. Really nice boost compared to the 390, pretty much silent even under load and it hits about 56-60C under gaming load. So far I'm really happy, hope it stays that way. :) More gaming to be done, just played with it a little bit after work.

  6. So I pulled the trigger on a MSI RTX 2070 ARMOR 8G. Excited and also little scared about the possible problems but I could get it for just a smidge more than 1070ti so 💁‍♂️

Hell yeah, should get it tommorow or friday, depends on the schedule. Well the 2080ti's we're dying in numbers, so hopefully the 2070's doesn't have the same problems. Will probably keep the 390 for a little while as a backup before I sell it. Oh yeah, and expect a build log update. :)

Oh shit yeah, had a real blank there! Hopfully the problems are only limited to the bigger dies.

Could be even just a bad batch of the cards, hard to say. My card has a 3 year warranty so that's nice. :)

  7. Went from 4 Mb/s to 5.9 Mb/s and finally today to 50 Mb/s. Awww yisss.

Oh yeah, tell me about it. :D It's not the fastest out there, but finally downloading stuff like games on Steam doesn't have to be overnight hassle.

  8. Nobody ever does. Just recently I had a family friend call and ask about her brand new (and pretty expensive) laptop. Turns out HDD died after not even a week.
  9. Awesome! Yeah, I know that feeling. Good call on the RAM test I didn't looked on the specs properly and it didn't even cross my mind.
  10. Sounds like a plan, let me know.
  11. Hopefully just the RAM then. Only one way to find out I guess.
  12. Okay, definitely worth a shot. I mean, it doesn't mean they are bad, but you know how it goes. Sure thing, no need to thank me. Didn't really dawned on me that it could be the RAM.
  13. Well, never heard of that company but memtest showing errors is not good. Could be either faulty ram or faulty dimm slot on the MOBO. Try booting with only one RAM and see what happens. Play around with combination of one ram stick and dimm slots. See what happens.
  14. Damn, that's annoying. I wish you more luck next time.
  15. Sucks but better than keeping more than likely bad MOBO right ? If the budget allows you could return this one and buy another one locally before you get your money back ?
