VSTOLL got a reaction from PCGuy_5960 in wireless vs wired mice
Looks like someone is forgetting that a wire is not a perfect transfer thing. It's also susceptible to interference and there's resistence of the wire itself, so it's very possible that the wireless technology is as fast as the wire or faster on ideal conditions. The processing it requires is basically meaningless at this point, as it's so fast and so power efficient to be done quickly enough so it doesn't increase the latency.

Interference is not a problem in good mices. I live in a building with 23 apartments and all of them have at least a 2.4 and a 5ghz wifi, I also live in Downtown, so a lot of antenna going on and I NEVER had any problems with my G305 or G502.

It reached a point, as Linus pointed in the video, that if you claim to notice a difference between a wireless and a wired mouse, you are full of shit. The only thing to consider today is only if you really want to be wire free to pay the premium for it, there are no performance loss whatsoever and you pay for it, there's no magic or corporation conspiracy.

Yeah, I found some extensive reddit threads discussing this issue. Looks like some newer models have an option on the OSD menu that can disable this behavior, but the majority doesn't have it.

Unfortunately this is normal behavior with DisplayPort.

    Yeah, that's really frustrating

I just tested with a PC that has a AMD card, the problem still occurs, but after I turn the display back on, the windows go back to the DP monitor, not on the correct size, but still something.

Sure man, I'm studying to become a concept artist, I don't have a website yet but I'm posting my work on instagram

I guess it just seems to be one of those things that you will have to deal with until an actual fix comes out.
My last recommendation would be to just lay out your desktop so that there is minimal shortcuts and folders on there.
I saw on the video you have some artwork, do you have an account with your work as if its alright with you, I would like to see it.

From looking around, I may be able to find a fix but I wont be able to test it since I don't have a DisplayPort Cable. The problem for you is that you require a piece of software called DisplayFusion.

Yeah I know, I bought a 4K monitor because I need more screen, I work with 3D and Photoshop most of the time, and I struggle to fit my references and the thing I'm working on the screen. So, having a 4K monitor I want to know if upscaling is bad enough to justify the investment in a 1080Ti. If upscaling looks fine on the new monitor and my GPU dies, then I'll probablly get a standard 1080 or a 1070. Or wait for the new volta cards.

This happened to my GPU, and it turned out to be dying. I'd try reinstalling Windows, see if that fixes it. If not, RIP GPU.

There's nothing inherently wrong with using Molex to SATA if you need more SATA connections than your PSU has but there are iffy adapters out there.

Using an extension is fine. Keep in mind to never overload one cable with more than the allotment of SATA connections on the connector.

Some bad ones can catch fire WHEN under high load, but if you are just going to run an SSD on it it will be fine

Have you read the post? My concern is the spikes, not the temperature itself. There's no meaning in those 10C spikes every 10s, the CPU Usage and voltage is not spiking with it.

unless [Windows] power management tells them not to.

I leave my drives to their own schedule. Some drives, like my WD Black, I leave spinning indefinitely, but the Blue stops spinning after 30 minutes.
Parking is only for the read heads. They park themselves even if the drive is at full spin.

If it were a laptop, I would be more inclined to say yes, because that is the type of thing that is more likely to get jarred when you leave it somewhere, so it could potentially save the disk if it's parked and a kid or animal bumps it pretty good. Otherwise, it's a desktop, so I'd leave it spinning. It isn't going to wear it out any faster staying on, and it won't use that much extra power to make it worth saving on the energy bill.

If you know you are not going to be using the drives just unplug them before you turn your PC on.
Drives will eventually spin down on there own, the WD drives seem to take about 10 minutes of no activity, but the issue is that windows may want to wright something to it. I have a HDD that stores all my pictures and school work on, but for no reason what so ever in the middle of a game and then you will hear the head moving and then it will just turn off. If you can't face leaving the drive off then just let it spin. HDD's don't tend to give out that much heat and they aren't really effected by it either. What I did was hot glue a fan to push air over the drives.

HDDs seem to want to spin forever. the more times the have to ramp up and park seems to wear on them mechanically.

    I'd just leave it spin.

Nope, I just live in Brazil. Power is transfered by liana vines. It's so bizarre here that grounding is a rare feature to have in your house.

By the way guys, it was the battery, I didn't even imagined, the MOBO is brand new and the battery is shiny. I changed it with the battery from my bathroom scale and the PC booted just fine and the scale didn't even worked.

I'll have to find another battery to try out. I'll come back to you guys if that's the problem.

I shutdown my PC at night because the power here is pretty unstable. My brother lost his GPU and monitor letting his PC plugged during the night, the next day it was not turning on and when he opened it, it was toasted.
