Project is currently on hold due to the following reasons
Work Starting a New job so less time for the project leading to more downtime postponing due to upgrades of the following ; New Hard drives Possible new GTX 1080ti(replace the one i have for a FTW3 ICX card Full custom loop(soft tubing) Upgrade case(phanteks enthoo primo) going away on holiday soon

Totally agree here, i feel like AMD have done well considering this budget, to cover two whole sections of the component market and still produce some of the best processors around. Who cares if they dont produce the next 1080ti with vega. As long as they are still relevant in the mid to low tier they still do their job

As much as I want AMD to suceed, I don't think they will win on Enterprice level.
In company that  work for, we aren't going with AMD anytime soon. We are paying premium price for those 12c Xeons, but in the end we know those server are 100% stable. Sure we have DR location that even if server would fail, it would take less than 50ms to switch to DR locations. But we still won't be buying AMD CPUs for our servers anytime soon.
It's just a risk that leaders of that company aren't willing to take.
 
On consumer side ... I want Intel to fail miserably, so they have to lower price on 7700k to 200€ instead of current 340€.

While you can do custom water cooling in that case, I can't recommend it.
I used S340 before, but I switched to Define S, because I wasn't able to fit everyhting inside S340 ... there just wasn't space to mount d5 pum + res combo.
And max supportet rad is 240 or 280m ... not 100% sure, but for GPU + CPU I wanted to have at least 360mm + another 240mm, to run fans at low rpm.
 
anyway, S340 is great case, just not for custom water loops ... it can be done buy it's tricky and it will piss you off in the end when something won't fit.

Probably just shift the balance to R5 1600 and 1080, if the budget can stretch to a decent monitor, or if you can get one sooner rather than later, id reccomend that.

There's been stock here and there the past 2 days but $300 for a 4gb is insane. Might as well bite the bullet and get a 1080/1070 at this point. I'm in the GPU limbo as well having just got a freesync monitor. It's either spend $300-400 now for a 4gb or 8gb or wait for Vega. I'll wait.

over here its way worse ... its either 1080 or nothing .... price to performance that is 
when a 1070 is 679 euro (776$) and a 1080 is 699 euro (799$) 
when a rx 580 is 589 euro (674$)

Just realised, why though? It seems like a waste of money to me and people seem to confirm from what i have heard. NOthing noticable over SATA. Will you do content creation? Video editing or anything else with masive storage overhead?

Some people just have disposable income for stuff like that.

So I'm having a good time. People around me know that I'm good at building PC's and picking parts to whatever they'll use them for, so I have some "business" going on there.
There's this one guy, Robin, he's got a boner for mITX and he loooves just buying hardware. More harware than he can use, honestly.
Yesterday I was at his place, building his 4th (5th coming next week) mITX PC becuase "Nah the 1060 isn't good enough as a secondary PC GPU y'know, so I bought an entire new system".
 
So I sigh loudly, ask him in a friendly way if it's really necessary, he sort of agrees that it's not but you know how some bonheads can be!
Anyhow; I finish it up, install windows so all he has left is the drivers. Our deal is that he pays me per PC, one build is around 40$ (some may argue that this is too expensive, meet me in comments)
But this time he proposed another deal, a deal which meant that I'd get some of his parts that, right now, is doing nothing but collect dust.
I was intrigued and said "Sure why the hell not, whatcha got?" Since I LOVE just having parts to build and play around with.
 
He gives me an Asus Z97 Pro Gamer 1150 MOBO, 8GB RAM DDR3 LP Crucial with a VS 550w PSU mounted in a Fractal Design R5 Black Pearl with a windowed panel.
 
So I'm standing there like "What the fuck is going on here", and ask him if he's entirely sure. I told him that this is worth WAY more than the cash I usually get for helping him, and getting payed is something he insists on doing (I suggested to begin with to do it for free, but as mentioned he's quite stubborn). He says something like "Yeah I really don't mind, I don't have any LGA 1150 CPU's laying around and I was planning on selling it but I dont have any boxes so it's just collecting dust now. If you want it - take it."
.. So I did.
 
Let me tell you;
The R5 is in MINT condition, he won the parts in a competition (was a complete PC) and stripped it to upgrade his former rig. IT WAS NEVER USED. The plastic is still on the window!!! My plan for the longest time has been to build a PC for my girlfriend when she moves into her apartment (that happens to be today, July 14) and I have! I made it from parts I got second hand, and the CPU just so happens to be a G3258, perfectly fitting the MOBO until she upgrades.

And man.. I'm just a happy lil' nerd right now.
Everything fired up fine, windows runs smooth as balls.
(Also miiight have bought her the Masterkeys Lite RGB Combo)
