Stock coolers are perfectly fine if you run the cpu at stock speeds.

To put it bluntly, you'd make more money if you walk around the city for a couple of hours picking up coins than you could mine off a laptop in a year

Doubt mainstream is going to have 6-8 cores. There is no current need for it other then maybe the top of the end prosumers

    Source: http://www.dxomark.com/Mobiles/Google-Nexus-6P-review-Serious-contender-for-mobile-photography
Here are the results of their testing

They ended up giving the 6P a score of 84, which, after the S6 Edge, is the highest score of any smartphone they have tested. They have yet to post results for the iPhone 6s/6s+ or the Xperia z5 which have the potential to score higher than the 6p or even the S6 Edge.

When viewing these results, Keep in mind that they used a pre-production model so the results of the final consumer version might be better or worse. I'm glad to see that this year's flagship nexus device actually has a good camera, as the one the Nexus 6 had was widely criticized by reviewers. I do hope that Google has fixed the video stabilization issues that DxO mentioned in their review, but the rating that was given to it is not to far from that of other competitors. I definitely see this as a contender for my next phone. I'm just waiting for reviews of the Z5 to come out and if it comes to Verizon or not.

You ARE in control. You have the options.
And what you are talking about is called telemetry data. Something that is embedded in Windows since XP days. It was NEVER a problem, never been a problem for all your devices as well, just now with Windows 10. Sorry, but I am not buying you are saying.

As the phone starts to arrive in people's hands and tech specs start to be unraveled (evidence points out the A9 is still a dual core with 2gb etc), Anandtech has discovered that the 6s is using a Sandisk NVMe SSD*, making this the first phone in the world to do so.

Sequential reads speeds are starting to reach that of mainstream SSDs.

I think that it's great to see that Apple just simply doesn't skimp on their phones and tablets and is able to offer the very best every year for the past 3 years. Of course, the real world benefit of such fast storage may not show as much of a benefit, but it's good to see something new and fresh to be excited about.

    Edit:

*It may not be a Sandisk SSD because the iFixit tear down revealed Toshiba flash nand chips.

    Update:

Was looking through Anandtech's Twitter feed when I saw this tweet.

The speed of the nand is dictated by size and is also capable of some insane read speeds.

These speeds may be due to disk caching however, but still very impressive.
