Based on the fact you're trying to upgrade a bit and you sound budget conscious I'd be looking at a Ryzen 7 2700, in multicore its within error margin based on the fact it sounds like you're gonna be expanding to more multicore operations wouldn't be a bad option its cheaper than the 3600, and unlike the 2700 it'll just work without any fidgety beta bios'es on 400 series motherboards.

Check the Supported CPU list, https://www.asrockrack.com/general/productdetail.asp?Model=X470D4U#CPU. It only contains Pinnacle Ridge cpu. Until it lists Matisse cpu (Zen 2) I would not count on them being supported. 
 
. . . I just checked the BIOS list and it does list a BIOS release for Ryzen 7nm cpu. So you are likely good to go. Still, I'd worry about the 3xxx cpu not being listed as supported.

So apparently people don't understand what freedom of speech means. It means the government will not prosecute you for saying whatever you want. That ONLY applies to the government, not companies. LTT can do whatever they want. If I went on youtube and made a video about why a certain race should die off, they have the right to remove it. It is not censorship. If I was making a video complaining about YT and they remove it, it can be considered censorship, but is still legal as they can do what they want with their own platform.

Do note, they didn't actually test this. Its all just a theory based on my TLDR version of the article. 
 
TLDR:
Freedom of speech does not mean anything with companies, stop signs can have a sticker on them and then self driving cars wont recognize them. 
 

I've been sitting on this for awhile. I have left comments. This is so frustrating. Synergy sucks, their support is horrid and their software is buggy. I have tried contacting them and have a ticket STILL OPEN for months now. No response. Why are they partnered with such a horrible company? I connect both computers via ethernet. Sometimes, the cursor will sometimes just get stuck at the side of the screen and not go through. It has problems connecting. It randomly disconnects, the cursor will move over into random spots. One time, my cursor was at the bottom of one screen, and then it appeared all the way at the top when it moved over? Both computers were on the same monitor model? WTF? My keyboard uses scroll lock to turn on backlights. I cannot disable Synergy detecting that, so I either have keys I cant see or I can use both computers. I can type without backlights, knowing where keys are, but when I am using that other computer its for odd tasks and late at night where I am groggy. 
For these reasons I think Linus should not renew his contract with Synergy.

Linus also uses 2 mice and keyboards at his desk. (Think it was in the large mouse pad video)

The current format is boring. I would love them taking TwitterBlitz back or having another Q&A style section. Wouldn't need to be long, just 5-10mins. Linus does AMA's on Reddit (which I for example don't) and Q&A's at some US/CA LAN events (mainly PAX) which I obviously can't attend to (well, could if they were in CA and it wouldn't cost me €2k).

High performance mode would make it run full speed all the time, though given that your stuff is pretty dusty right now, temps would only get worse. And of course the obligatory "BUT MEH FEW WATTS MORE POWER CONSUMPTION."

The FREE version doesn't have live protection. It still works great if you tell it to scan your PC though.

That's pretty much how it is will all protection software these days...
I just use windows defender and malwarebytes, that's enough for me.

I saw that exhibition years ago. It was rather intersting.
