PNXTech reacted to R3dbullDrinker in Monitor Pairing

this monitor is pretty damn good for its price decently high refresh rate, good pixel density and nice thin bezels I think this is perfect for your use case a good balance between some gaming and watching videos.

PNXTech reacted to Levent in what PSU should I pair with ?
Depends. I assume 4pin EPS connector is the one you are talking about? This all depends on the CPU you are using and how much you are overclocking.

PNXTech reacted to Mateyyy in Balance
The CPU cooler's overpriced and out of place in such a build, motherboard's very bad for the money, 32GB of RAM is again kind of out of place considering the other components, the storage situation is just a train wreck, the case doesn't look ideal for airflow and the EVGA G3 is not a great PSU, and 750W of output are totally unnecessary.

whats your use case?
to start:
- the 3600x is not worth the premium over the 3600
- no need for an AIO
- the board is meh
- do you need 32 gb of ram? pretty sure there are cheaper options with higher speeds
- ssds are pretty slow
- case too expensive
- overkill on the PSU

PNXTech reacted to ZzLy in Balance
1. Invest in a bigger SSD instead of multiple ones.
2. Do you really need 32GB of ram?
3. X570 motherboard is overkill. Get a B550 one and your wallet will approve.
4. 750w power supply is overkill, 500w should be fine
5. You don't need an AIO liquid cooler unless you really need it to look cool.
6. Ryzen 3600 vs 3600x is a small difference. Get the 3600 instead
Then with all this saved money, get a better GPU.

PNXTech reacted to boggy77 in Stock Coolers ?
if you're not bothered by the noise, you monitor the cpu temps and they don't go above 90C, you're fine with stock.
I've changed my stock cooler on my 2600x because it was too noisy. now my pc is completely silent until I load the gpu to max.

PNXTech reacted to Eighjan in Stock Coolers ?
I went straight for a Pure Rock with my 3600 (non-X) build & may be looking to get either of the suggested, above, some time soon.
-
PNXTech reacted to 5x5 in Stock Coolers ?
The stock cooler is perfectly fine for stock operation. If you want to enable PBO, or you want lower noise levels, get an Arctic eSports 34
-
PNXTech reacted to SupaKomputa in Stock Coolers ?
The stock cooler is pretty good if you don't overclock.
I use my stock cooler for my 1600, and never went out of 80c.
-
PNXTech reacted to zeusthemoose in Stock Coolers ?
If you already have it, why not use it and see how it goes? Stock is good enough for 3600x if its not overclocked. But see if the noise level and temps are satisfactory to you and if not get a different one from a good company like noctua.
-
PNXTech reacted to marmour in Stock Coolers ?
It's fine if you're not overclocking. I only swapped mine out because it can be noisy. The X variant comes with the slightly beefier Wraith spire that should be adequate

PNXTech reacted to Eighjan in Stock Coolers ?
I'd replace it... NH-U12 or a Dark Rock (Pro?) would be better.
That said, it'll do, for now.

3600 cl18 / or 16 if possible
Or 3200 cl 16 / 14 if possible
Over all the performance difference is negligible between them

PNXTech reacted to Gorilla Warfare in Power supply to go with the msi mpg x570 gaming edge wifi
Not needed , use the 8 pin CPU cable you have on that great PSU. It provides plenty of power.
-
PNXTech reacted to Haro in Power supply to go with the msi mpg x570 gaming edge wifi
A single 8pin eps can provide up to 380ish Watts
You won't be needing the other one unless your LN ocing or something
-
PNXTech reacted to Mateyyy in Power supply to go with the msi mpg x570 gaming edge wifi
You don't need the extra 4-pin. You'll run into thermal limitations either on the motherboard's VRMs and/or the CPU itself before you reach the threshold of a single 8-pin EPS connector.

PNXTech reacted to dizmo in Is this ok as in a budget
It's a good price for the parts.
You can't get an X570 board and that CPU cheaper anywhere else.

PNXTech reacted to MadAnt250 in Next Upgrade ?
A new Cpu would be a good upgrade and may help when paired with your GPU, I would suggest going with a better performing AMD Ryzen cpu and a new board to give better and cheaper upgrade paths for the future. The 6th and 7th gen Intel Cpu's are still too much money, but if you are ok with your performance for now, then maybe wait and see what happens in the future, but that may take a long while.

PNXTech reacted to bomerr in Next Upgrade ?
Since you have a Z270, you can mod it to run coffee lake cpus like the 8700k.
