Ok, I ditched the Ryzen 7 1700 rig and selling the pieces. It was a huge disappointment performance-wise. Got the Xeon X5670 running again. Will probably throw in the X5690 and see how hard I can run it. The 1700 was good at multi-core performance, but single was not great. I can almost get the Xeon to the 1700's single core performance.
 
Oh well, time to look for the next project.

Count me as another vote for the GP100. I have one and it's been a fantastic gun. I really need to break that out of the safe more often.

It is like a more modern version of the PC-08 (the one that I have and love) but the 011 is less than half the price.

-Hyperloop vacuum doesn't need to be nearly as good
-Hyperloop tunnels are being constantly pumped out to create a partial vacuum instead of being held under a vacuum
-The LIGO tubes have been under vacuum for 10 years, thermal expansion hasn't been a problem (and it gets quite cold there in the winter)
-Don't listen to Thunderf00t

They can hold 2 4km tunnels at 1/1,000,000,000,000 of an atm yet people say the hyper loop is an impossible vacuum?

Exactly what I did here:

 
I then lined the edges with electrical tape.
 
You get the best results from painting the back of the acrylic
 
I did some red lines on the back and then covered the whole back in black paint

Also I really like the desk and the chair.

Like the title suggests, this is my first build ?. Please ignore the ugly heat shrink cables, they came with my SeaSonic PSU and I'll be adding white, braided extensions. Also, could one of you name it? I'm not terribly creative with that kind of thing.

Love or hate Walmart's gaming machines, this is an extremely solid deal given what is usually around the $500 price point.

Because it's a Lego game or because it's about the Hobbit?
The only thing wrong with it for me is the Hobbit theme. Not a big fan of anything Hobbit related except for the Shadow of Mordor/War games. Still gonna play the hell out of it though because I really like Lego games. I just like collecting all the Legos and watching things get built.

If you've got it overclocked and stable at 5GHz then what's the point of a new mobo? 

No I don't sorry. All I know about the power is that the tdp is considerably higher at 130w per 5690

I originally bought the pair of 5690s when I was using a dual socket server board (and therefore couldn't OC) but then I ended up buying the SR-2 which is still a dual socket board but I can OC both sockets. 

I keep meaning to overclock, I really do want to rebeat your cinebench score but I am always tired when I get home and I often find myself in more of a mood to play games rather than stare at my awful blue bios screen

I feel ya. And that's the worst thing about old BIOS', the blue background just shreds your eyes, at night after working in front of a screen all day it's absolute murder.
