I'll tell ya. 1440p, 144Hz, IPS, G-Sync is the most beautiful thing you will ever see.

256GB for a gamer is pitiful. If you only play one or two games at a time and uninstall as soon as you're done, then maybe you can stretch it... but honestly? It's not worth it.

If you MUST get something as small as the Razer, then go MSI.

If you are a healthy human being, the P650SE or P650SG is the best choice. It'll do everything you ask (unless you pass the 47W TDP limit for the CPU when rendering videos, at which point it will throttle, but all H and HQ laptop CPUs do this and intel does not make non-H/non-HQ chips anymore, so there's no escaping it unless you get the desktop-CPU-using laptop) while running cool and mostly quiet. And if it's not cool enough, fn + 1 = max fans for MAXIMUM OVERCOOL.

Did I mention that you can:
    Open laptop
Clean insides of laptop like fans
    repaste GPU/CPU
    Swap out HDDs
    Swap out SSDs
    Swap out RAM
Flash Prema's system BIOS (at least with Sager and Eurocom)
Flash modified vBIOSes on your GPUs for proper control (everywhere I've interacted with has)
Reinstall OS to whatever you want

    All without breaking the warranty?

This is coming from someone who owns the 2013 version, but it doesn't seem like the design changed much. 1. RAM is soldered on so no.
    2. I have the 256 and I'm fine with space. You end up with a little over 200Gb after OS. CORRECTION:there is only one m.2 slot. You will run out of space quick if you have big files.
3.My friend owns one and he quite likes it. They're quite similar. I love the build quality of the razer. I've heard that the msi laptops can feel not as sturdy but I personally don't know. I also preferred 14" over 15.6" in regards to portability.

Instead of the GS60, you should get a Clevo P650SE. Maybe it's just me being obsessed with thermal throttling, but the Clevo P650SE definitely won't.

Afraid I really want to go for less than 17 inches. Just a bit too big for my personal use.

I already have one, so I feel at the moment, I would like to invest into a laptop since the older one can't really do the jobs it needs to, and this has become a problem a few times.

Don't think you have to buy, you should be able to reserve still, just that you would get it much later.

I would avoid the Eizo FG2421 unless you can test it locally before buying.

It's an even bigger panel lottery than the Asus ROG Swift (inversion issues, some ship with 1.7 gamma, etc) and the Acer you already have (bleed, excessive ips glow, dirt behind polarizer, etc).

The eizo IS a wonderful screen if you can get a fully working pristine one.  The problem is, it was proven (someone on hardforum found out about it) that the Eizo FG2421 was using discarded parts that didn't pass QA for their $4,000 satellite panel.  The panels have the exact same specifications to the letter.  So if you get the Eizo, you may get any number of issues, like checkerboard artifacts, issues with strange color shifting, and all sorts of other little problems--or you may get a pristine panel that will look like the best thing you ever used.

For more information, you need to check the hardOCP forum thread about that panel.  More people have done RMA's on the Eizo than even on the ROG, due to QA issues and getting panels that were clearly distracting to use.

It depends on the placement of your monitors. I have a 32 and a 23 inch and it looks so funny side by side but with the 23 on the desk and the 32 hanging on the wall about 15-20 inches or so, it looks cool. I use the 32 for system monitoring, virtualdj, movies and youtube videos and the 23 for work and gaming.

Not much at all. And no actually it wouldn't be resized, it would use the same amount of pixels as it did on the bigger monitor. It would look bigger because of lower dpi, but there won't be any resizing going on.

Yes, sure. I also have the XB270HU and two other 1440p monitors (for monitoring, browser, email client etc.) running off one card and it works totally fine.
Just make sure that the other monitor has a connector other than DP, as this will be used by the XB270HU.

ASUS will be coming out with a 120Hz 1440p IPS monitor later this year (the MG279Q). You should wait for that. I don't think the PG278Q is a good choice right now.

For like FPS, I get perfectly what you are saying. But, there's another reason. And that's the fact that I play loads of racing sims. I built my own sim racing rig a while ago with a real racing car seat that cost me 700 bucks. Triples are much more important with that, and if you have tried really hard online racing games, you should know... Many people don't know, but when you are racing 3 wide or 4 wide coming to a turn in Daytona, it is extremely useful of having triples, and I am getting sick of only having the skill to do two wide.

Okay, it'll be the Corsair Vengeance K70 for me then! That's for sure. Probably with Cherry MX Blues or Browns, depending which I find better. Trying to find a shop that would also have Cherry MX Browns and not just Blues.
