the 480 will be great with that display, better than a 1070 even in some respects since you get the bonus of free-sync, a 480 tends to sit between 70-80% of a 1070's performance, but it's more than enough for 1080p 75hz AAA gaming

Whichever you think fits with your build.. AMP! Extreme is nice, as well as Strix.
AMP has dual 8pins whereas the Strix has 1 8pin.

Don't need a 1070 for a 1080p display man, better to put that money into your CPU so you never need to replace it,

but ya still wait for Ryzen though

Could make it right away by cutting down the PSU and GPU to like an Armor OC, or drop the CPU to the i7 6700K with a bit cheaper Z170 board

Ryzen should be announced at GDC at the end of this month

Are you in the US? that's the 1080p 75Hz IPS display right? Where are you finding that?It has free-sync so you might as well get an AMD card man, the GTR should OC well as well

Ryzen should also save you enough money to get within spitting distance of this $400 Pixio 1440p 144hz IPS free-sync display

On average, each manufacturer cheaps out in a specific area more often than not. What they cheap out on is hard to determine, so it's mostly hearsay, but....

ASRock tends to cheap out on marketing and their website (generally things that involve communication with the customer). As opposed to the actual boards themselves.

MSI tends to cheap out on power delivery. The worst possible thing to cheap out on.

YMMV, but ASRock is more reliable in my experience and what I've heard from friends' experiences.

Then I don't see why you shouldn't go for the 7500. It's supposedly 6-9% better.

Nice build btw, I would add 8GB more RAM though. But that's just me, I'm a pretty heavy user.

Neither is better. Like most PC components, you have to compare based on a product to product basis. Both MSI and ASRock have great boards and some shoddy boards.

In terms of performance, they're pretty much the same. Personally, I would lean towards the ASRock B250M Pro4 due to the slightly better connectivity (mainly the dual M.2 slots for me)

EDIT: Looks like the ASRock has a better power delivery system actually, so I'd definitely go for the ASRock board, seems like a better choice. It also at least has some cooling for the power delivery, even if it's only a small heatsink.

Nagisa... Wow. Really? I prefer Karma. But all I know is that Msi has a great RMA system, unless the pins are bent they will give you a refurbished board within like one or two days of getting yours. I sent it in on Monday, got it Friday. I even put in the wrong motherboard on info, they checked it, and gave me the right mobo back and didn't care that I put the wrong stuff in on accident. Actually, I even had bent pins on the mobo I sent in, it was barely bent and it was 3 pins and dram was detected. I'd prefer MSI, only cause of their RMA service. I've used both manufacturers, and they're both equally good, in terms of those boards, I think the Asrock may be better, although I was too lazy to look up those boards. Asrock tends to make better low end boards.

The differences are minor between models. Get the cheapest one you can find - except the Asus Turbo, the plastic of the shroud makes me uneasy.

In my opinion you should pick up the zotac gtx 1070 amp extreme edition as it has the highest factory overclocked and you can find it quit cheap actually 408 dollars on amazon,in addition to this it's quite solid,so close your eyes and go for it.

@Nagisa Shiota I suggest going with the Gigabyte GTX 1070 Windforce OC 8GB GDDR5. Gigabyte is known for having one of the lowest temps among the other manufacturers in a specific price range.

the amp extreme is the best 1070 out of the bunch but the backplate is not that nice due to the yellow and it's a massive card, i'd go with a 1070 FTW

Why? Thinner, better build quality, lighter, still has a 6700HQ, great 100% RGB screen. 14" form factor is nice if your into that, good inbetween size.
