the 480 will be great with that display, better than a 1070 even in some respects since you get the bonus of free-sync, a 480 tends to sit between 70-80% of a 1070's performance, but it's more than enough for 1080p 75hz AAA gaming

Which is better

Whichever you think fits with your build.. AMP! Extreme is nice, as well as Strix.

AMP has dual 8pins whereas the Strix has 1 8pin.

idk

Don't need a 1070 for a 1080p display man, better to put that money into your CPU so you never need to replace it,

but ya still wait for Ryzen though

Could make it right away by cutting down the PSU and GPU to like an Armor OC, or drop the CPU to the i7 6700K with a bit cheaper Z170 board

Ryzen should be announced at GDC at the end of this month

Are you in the US? that's the 1080p 75Hz IPS display right? Where are you finding that?It has free-sync so you might as well get an AMD card man, the GTR should OC well as well

Ryzen should also save you enough money to get within spitting distance of this $400 Pixio 1440p 144hz IPS free-sync display

the 480 will be great with that display, better than a 1070 even in some respects since you get the bonus of free-sync, a 480 tends to sit between 70-80% of a 1070's performance, but it's more than enough for 1080p 75hz AAA gaming

Here's the GTR, hard to find 1400mhz benchmarks for the 480 though, dunno why jay didn't do at least a few game benchmarks with his full OC
