The case, plate, keycaps and stuff all affect the sound of a keyboard too, and they'll be the things that make the most difference with a non-clicky switch. Bottoming out will also lead to it being louder.
 
I might as well share my latest purchase while I'm here, although it's not technically a mechanical board. I recently picked up a HHKB Pro 2, which had already been lubed, and I've added some silencing rings to it, and I'm completely in love with it.

It's nothing too crazy, I did use Wallpaper Engine in the past, but my current GPU is an ancient Quadro, so I'd rather not waste what little power it has on that. I am using TranslucentTB though, with it set to clear on my desktop, and blurred elsewhere.

Just got my HHKB in the post, it's a perfect fit with the Deadhead artisan that I had laying around. Hopefully this still counts as somewhat mechanical? ;)

It's not much but it was mine... my old Baotian BT49 scooter, it was slow as heck and super unreliable, but it got me around. Sadly it died recently, so I'll be picking up a 125cc motorcycle when I have the funds together. I did manage to do some slight tuning such as derestricting it and installing lightweight rollers and stuff which helped slightly, but it was still a bag of junk at the end of the day.

I'm not a huge fan of the composition, since the balance does seem a little off with the blank space above the subject. I like the motion you captured with the hand movements though, while the rest of the subject is still in focus. The background itself seems a little plain, although I doubt you could do much about that with the setting.
 
Here's a shot I took of a Great Western train at Worcester, one of their new ones I believe, slightly edited to make it a bit more dramatic.

Sadly it died recently, so I'll be picking up a 125cc motorcycle when I have the funds together. I did manage to do some slight tuning such as derestricting it and installing lightweight rollers and stuff which helped slightly, but it was still a bag of junk at the end of the day.

It's a Niu Mini ortholinear 40% keyboard, using Cherry MX Silent Red switches, lubed and spring swapped to Gateron Yellow springs so that they have a bit more force.

Just got this in the mail today, lovely board and much better than my old worn-out Razer Blackwidow. Got some keycaps on the way from China for it, so should have a nicer picture with non-stock keycaps to show you guys in about a month's time. I'm happy to be back on MX Browns, I find that I type a lot faster than with the blues on my old board.
