Oh, I'm sorry! I thought you didn't like the BlackWidow 2013 because of the switches.

I'd like them to actually release their first RGB product before we talk about future RGB products.

J0ey reacted to Rubenis in Apply thermal paste
Most of the times I do spread thermal paste my self, just to be sure it covers all of cpu or gpu chip surface. But I do not think there are right and wrong methods.

J0ey reacted to killertek78 in Apply thermal paste
As an example of when it makes more sense to pre-spead rather then no spread:
CM Hyper 212+ vs Evo.
The 212+ had small gaps either side of the pipes not being a flat contact patch like the newer Evo, thus not evenly and automatically spreading paste.

J0ey reacted to juretrn in Apply thermal paste
No such thing as "correct" way to apply thermal paste. There's nothing wrong with spreading the paste. On this forum, however, most people follow the Gospel of Linus.

I've always gone with the grain of rice method, and it is yet to fail me though this is a controversial issue

J0ey reacted to ShadowCaptain in Apply thermal paste
You do not need to spread out thermal compound, it will spread naturally due to the pressure applied by the heatspreader on the cooler
By smearing it you introduce air bubbles with negatively impact performance

J0ey got a reaction from harrynowl in Asus Z97-A unknown device
Thanks, I also tried that driver but that didn't work either. It seems to work after trying to update the driver multiple times in device manager.

J0ey reacted to Menta in M.2 vs SATA Express
For now i would say irrelevant, m.2 and sata express are in basic the same thing and share similar electrical specs. both can use the pci lanes, the problem is the majority mobos that dont max out at x4,x8 when using m.2 or sata express for that only a pci adaptar direct on a slot.
also there is not much to choose from...wait and see, as far as i know only asrock has MB that that uses 4x on a m.2 slot. ultra m.2

J0ey reacted to Cacao in H80 with socket 1150
As the guys above say, it WILL fit. The 1150 mounting socket is identical to that of 1155. Meaning any 1155 cooler will work with haswell...

J0ey reacted to iRRuSiioNZz in H80 with socket 1150
the 1150 mounting is the same as the 1155 so it'll fit
