Takeo got a reaction from TVwazhere in LTT official, international used hardware market
No offense taken. It is actually visible for logged in members apparently.
However, the name of the subforum is VERY uninformative to be honest. Something like "Marketplace" or similar would be way more useful in my opinion.

Takeo got a reaction from astrosheen in Headset or Headphone+Desktop Mic?
Yes, I saw that one. However, the additional cable (even with the sleeve) is a no go for me. I am a fan of wired head gear. But it should be minimal in size

Takeo reacted to Mikensan in Home NAS+Gameserver
If you don't mind used, the most bang for your buck is going to be either a Dell R610 or R710 from ebay (assuming they're available in your area).
The price can vary wildly based on what type of games you intend to host, and what NAS operating system you chose.
Power consumption will vary on the processor and # of drives you buy, but with a single modern intel processor and 12 disks you should sit around 100watts.
You can go either a server chassis or any form factor with 5.25" bays if you want hot swap. If you don't care about hot swap then whatever you feel like buying. It is a personal preference. Even a mITX build with a raid card and expander can support 12 drives...

Takeo got a reaction from minibois in Video+Audio editing forum & DTS to Premiere Pro question
Thanks, buddy.
It is very confusing to see that in the "HARDWARE" section, since it is all about video editing on a software level. In the links you've provided, it is mostly about cameras and speakers/mics. What I meant was a section where you could discuss rendering, modification, cutting, mixing, muxing, animating, ... editing in general.
I'll see if FLAC solves the problem.

Not sure about your problem though.
Maybe you can convert it to .FLAC since that is high quality too.

Takeo reacted to LinusTech in Linus called adblock users scummy
I see this thread is still going. Read the first few pages.
The word scummy was ill-chosen.
But the simple fact ramains that if everyone blocked the ads in my content Linus Tech Tips wouldn't exist. Period.
Those suggesting that I complain to Google... Do you think I can just call up Eric Schmidt and let him know I don't like the way they implement ads on YouTube? I laughed out loud.
YouTube isn't perfect but it's my best shot at running a viable business here so I can pay my employees and feed my family, so that's what I use. Those of you who opt to consume the content without supporting it, fine you're not "scummy". Come up with your own word for it

Takeo reacted to eoso in Looking for Gaming (Ultrabook) 14''
MSI GE40 and GE60 seem right up your alley. The new Maingear Pulse 14 is also something to be considered.

Ah, I completely forgot about this one. The Gigabyte P34G may also be a good option. http://www.gigabyte.eu/products/product-page.aspx?pid=4636
Here's a video on it at Computex 2013.
