Livebythegame reacted to wngg in How are DataVac and CompuCleaner any different from regular leaf blowers?
There are people on the internet who use leaf blowers to clean their PCs and those who oppose them because of potential static, blowing components off, etc. Meanwhile DataVac and CompuCleaner are very liked and recommended by so many people. So, how are they different from regular leaf blowers? Are they safe from causing static electricity in the air?

Amazon.co.uk doesn't ship CompuCleaner to Bulgaria and Datavac can only be ordered from the US which means it will cost me extra taxes so I'm left with the only option to get a leaf blower but because of so many different opinions, I can't decide for myself, still.

I want to get the datavac but they don't ship to my country so I'm looking for an alternative and I'm trying to understand if there is a big difference in regards to dusting quality and safety.

Please don't recommend me these huge compressors that cost 5 times the datavac and compucleaner. I'm not going to clean 100 PCs a day.

Livebythegame reacted to TrigrH in Question Difference in blurriness between different native resolutions
    Its actually quite simple:
Bigger screen and lower resolution = bigger pixels.
Smaller screen and higher resolution = smaller pixels.
If you increase or decrease both proportionally = no change in pixel size.

Example 1080p 24inch is the about same pixel size as 31.5 inch 1440p.

If pixels are bigger the image will be blurry ONLY if you sit too close.

You can use this PPI (pixels per inch) calculator to work it out:
    https://www.sven.de/dpi/

Livebythegame reacted to Loote in Question Difference in blurriness between different native resolutions
1080p is 1080p regardless of screen size, but pixels are bigger, depending on how far you're going to sit from the screen and how good is your vision, the effects will be different. In my case 100 ppi is OK for computer screen, anything over 150 is annoying because I either have to scale, or the fonts are too small for me.

    1. 2k in places like this is just another name for 1920x1080(1080p), I doubt you mean a 2048x1024 screen.
    2. Every modern screen looks right only in native resolution, look at this:

the squares with '?'s have to be somehow predicted when you upscale and it only gets less obvious when you have more pixels. What's more, different algorithms scale text well and different scale clouds well, you always end up losing something.

Livebythegame reacted to Dujith in Question Difference in blurriness between different native resolutions
While the DPI on the 1440p screen is higher (109dpi vs 82dpi rounded) running 1080p on that screen will make it more blurry then on the 1080p screen
You will always be able to see the scaling. So its recommended  to run at the native resolution.

If they are the same size yes. so its 27inch 1080p screen vs 27inch 1440p screen.

Depending on the GPU it might have some scaling settings you can try out. Also depends on the screen scaling quality itself.
You would have to try that out if its acceptable to you. But you will always be able to see the scaling.

27 Inch seems to be the "maximum" for 1080p. 1440p would be ideal but you will need to run your games at that resolution.
Personal: 27 inch @1080p is perfect for me. My 1070 will handle anything perfectly at that resolution.

Livebythegame reacted to Daniel644 in Height Difference in Aspect Ratio for Monitors
the 21:9 27 inch will be shorter then the 24" 16:9 but a 29" 21:9 is taller then a 27 21:9 (same aspect ratio but larger size means taller and wider) here is a website where you can punch in the different sizes and aspect ratios and see a visual comparison http://www.displaywars.com/24-inch-16x9-vs-27-inch-21x9

a 34" ultrawide is the same height as a 27" 16:9 but is about 7.75" WIDER, these are the screen sizes I suggest if you can afford them.

edit: REMEMBER screen sizes are measured DIAGONALLY (like bottom left to top right or top left to bottom right) so if a screen gets wider but has the same diagonal dimension then it MUST get shorter in height, just think about the triangle.

    2. This is not a REQUIREMENT for entry, but you should definitely follow Razer on Twitter and subscribe to their YouTube page. In addition to providing the laptops for this awesome giveaway AND sponsoring our trip to PAX, they work with a plethora of other incredible creators in a number of spaces, and release cool content with some of them on a fairly regular basis. EDIT:

Alright, we have selected our winners!!!

@Plavi and @willp3, you have 72 hours to respond to the DMs I am sending you right now. If we do not receive a reply in that time, new winners will be chosen! Since both said that the Blade would be their choice, it's on a "first replied first served" basis. (for clarity - what this means is that the first winner to reply will get their choice between the two laptops, and the second winner to reply will get the laptop that the first winner did not choose. This does not mean that we're only giving away one laptop...)

    Thanks everyone.

    EDIT2:

Alright, so @Plavi has officially claimed the New Blade! Congrats on winning

But, unfortunately for @willp3, he did not respond in time to claim his prize...

Our new Blade Stealth winner is @ted542! Check your inbox, you have 72 hours to reply

    EDIT3:

Both laptops have now been claimed. Thanks for participating in this awesome giveaway, and please be sure to keep an eye out for giveaways in the future!

Please don't report posts in this topic - all duplicates will be handled before drawing, so if you have double posted, don't worry about it.

Hardest part for me is waiting for the parts to arrive, those 2-3 days were the longest 2-3 days of 2015. It used to be selecting parts but then I found LTT (which is the main reason I even built a gaming PC since I hadn't needed a desktop in years) so picking parts was easy.

Depends on the build, if your hardline watercooling. Tube bending can be hard to get angles right and make look good. Other then that i would say cable managemen to get clean wire layouts.
But over all the hardest part of building a pc is waiting for them to arrive after youve bought them.

I'd say rear cable mangement. Every build I do I go in with the mind set of having nice tidy cable but it never happens. This problem was just amplified when I got the Air 540 and I could see that I could just bundle them in there.
