You would have to check at rsi.com or .net i dont remember but i believe they have a free flight going on for like another week.  Either way they have a free to fly week about every 2 months where you can download the game and play for free for a week.  I dont know the details but this game is technically still pre alpha.  Its super hyped but at this point youre not buying a game.  Sure you get the game when it comes out but buying the game this early and buying a ship (which you wont have to do when it releases) is that you are supporting its development.

It sounds like youre looking for a completed game to play, if thats the case you should hold off because right now its not very big, people are doing the same few "missions" over and over, and its more of a place to mess around and find bugs than a real game.  The developers do seem to be pretty good about using this data to improve the game so far but right now they are pushing pretty hard to get Squadron 42 out, which is the single player part of the game, and is being released as a separate game because its planned to be that big.

Take a look at the free flight options tho.

my googling led me to believe only in uk.  and for a lot of money.  Are pounds still worth more than USD?

The 5820k can do 3 way sli it just can't do 4 way because it doesn't have enough pci lanes.

Then I would save some money and go with the 5820K. Glad I could help.

I'd get the EVGA Hybrid 980 Ti. EVGA has the best customer support, the card will run really cool, and it's probably going to have one of their best binned chips.

To be completely honest I dont know about ports.  My plan is to find the holes that look like the pegs and pray diligently.  Might even break out the duct tape and super glue

Personal Preference. If you are buying a new 3 way monitor build go for the ASUS RoG Swift 1440p monitor. It is a bit pricy but my gosh is it a beauty and is the best monitor on the market.

A ssd is a drive which is faster and has no moving parts, which means it is very very likely not to break. On your ssd you would keep windows. This is due to if you keep windows on with all your games on one drive your pc would take long to boot up. Only put windows on your ssd. On a hard drive put all your games. Try to go for a 1TB or 2TB hard drive that is 1000/2000GB. Merry Christmas!

Is there a way to award helpful members?  As someone who recently learned a GPU and graphics card are the same thing, I wish to reward a member that took the time to answer my messages about my first gaming pc build.  Patient, patient, man.

If there is a way please let me know.

Each core is at 3.3GHz. It also has 1.5x the threads, making it much better for games that will utilize it.

I wouldn't go with the 6700K over a 5820K since Star Citizen utilizes as many cores as it can get.

Duchess got a reaction from Wauthar in What would it take to run Star Citizen at max?
thank you, very informative.  Thats why im in a pickle.  I want a computer than can fly around arena commander (my hp pavillion laptop has HEAVY lag and ive only tried the hanger, Im sure it would melt if i tried to fly a ship), but i dont want to buy a computer and then want a new one when the game comes out because it barely runs the PU.

EDIT: should i wait all the way up until the pu launches?  Or buy and upgrade?

And thanks, its almost always already taken lol.
