Concerning the worst 1000$ build of all the internet at the moment and your explanation.
 
I was rewatching the video to check if people were really over reacting about it, especially about the "budget" side of things, and heared things like "best way to turn that cash into a gaming computer", "Value optimized guide" in the vid. If that's not selling the vid as a budget build, I don't know what is. I've seen people people in the comment and on the forum asking if they should buy that build, and some probably will just buy it, because they don't know and they trust you. A few month ago, you were telling Wendell you were making video about the 1000$ version of windows or if water cooling would make a room cooler, because many people just didn't know. And here you are knowingly releasing a missleading video to those same people thinking they'll know better? For real? 

Video would have been fine if all the value aspect was removed tho. I like fire.

That feel when LMG has 10 times the staff as the last time they made a build guide, but the build guide was 10x worse
 

I think at this point we can say LTT is not a technical tech channel, they are an entertainment tech channel. That's the fork in the road... You're either fine with that or you're not. This is the direction LTT has been heading for years now. There is nothing I can say that will change Linus' mind.
 
What if entertainment makes more money than actually technical tech?

Most of the time even your sponsered content is reasonable and makes sense.. Unlike this one. The choice of parts for this particular price point is not good.
1500 dollar build and everything would be fine.
 
Products from BeQuit! are very high quality which disqualifies them for a build where 100 dollar decides between an acceptable cpu/gpu and a very good cpu/gpu.
 

This would not work for the video because it was sponsored, I honestly think the problem with this video was the price point more than the parts selection. It should have been a $1500 build that would have given enough head room to use parts equivalent in price point to the be quite parts used.

What I did like is they went through some common issues they you might run into, such as the ram not fitting, and some wiring issues
 

I got it from Amazon, so I just went through their return policy it was painless.

That is pretty bad QC. I hope you didn't have any fuss getting an RMA approved.
Sometimes it is worthwhile to just sell your kidney to be able to upgrade those to 8 better cores.
 
LGA just shifts the problem to the motherboard. And they often come with bent pins, with stores refusing returns as they claim user damage.
Every time I open an LGA motherboard (or PGA CPU), I make sure that I have it on a single video from cutting the seal to inspecting the pins.

Clock droop like that is pretty common even on Intel boards.
 
The B350 boards do not have the extenal clock chip like the higher end x370 boards as far as I am aware. so you cannot adjust BCLK.
 
In addition to the Asus CH6, the Asrock Taichi and Gaming Professional and the Gigabyte Gaming k7 also have the b-clock chips

The people who have one seem to be very happy with them. I cannot speak from personal experience though

Please, I repeat PLEASE, look up your motherboard specs and see how many amps the heads are rated for first. Than do the same for your fan(s).
 
Example:
 
Amps per MB header = 3 amps
Amp draw per fan = .07
 
3 amps div. .07 draw = 4.28
 
So in this example you could attach 4 fans to each header (3 if you want to leave a safety factor)

I bought myself a cheap-ish bluetooth soundbar for almost the exact same reasons. But also because it's a wired soundbar, no charging needed... and I can now listen to it in bed too, and control it from my phone/tablet, it's very useful. (I was going to say very handy, but having handy and bed in the same sentence just sounds wrong, lol)

I know the way it sounds, but this way I don't have to worry about my game freaking out when I alt-tab out to change something.

Having a spare graphics card is a very handy thing to have. If you dont have a use now just put it in a box untill you do.

Pushbullet and Airdroid. That what I used, tho. 

Pushbullet is amazing for PC-Phone integration. It's a chrome extension/Windows app that integrates with your phone (download the app)
 
You can send files, download files, send texts, see notifications and reply to them all from your PC. It's super good.

I wouldn't go that far, this guy buys his cards, they're not supplied to him. Check out the other videos on his channel, pretty much in line with what other reviewers have seen.
