    Summary

YouTube has deleted SemperVideo, a 13 year-old educational German IT channel, after they received three strikes against their channel for questionable reasons. SemperVideo had a wide variety of tutorials ranging from Raspberry Pis to Samba.
The first strike came from a video where SemperVideo showed viewers how to install a VPN using the command prompt and the reasoning for the strike was "showing hacking instructions" (Source). The second strike came when SemperVideo uploaded a video showing how to access a "hidden" Windows 10 2004 start menu, which involved importing a registry tweak. Their official blog post about the situation can be read here. (This was using Google Translate).

This isn't the first time a channel has been striked due to teaching "hacking". The Verge made an article in 2019 about Null Byte who received a strike for using Wi-Fi to launch fireworks for July 4th, which YouTube later said was a mistake.

This is concerning as there are countless tutorial videos on YouTube that involve using the command prompt or making registry tweaks, with such as LTT and Level1Techs.

The Twitter post by Team YouTube doesn't bring much hope as SemperVideo mentioned in his video post about their first strike and how they were assigned a specialist to analyze the reason for the strike, and it was upheld.

The biggest issue at the moment is that the claimant has all the power and can disagree when you protest it, and you end up with a strike on your channel, even if you never had any of their content in your video in the first place, and YouTube will do nothing to help.

As a software engineer, I also have the same reaction. It's very worrying that more videos that actually show hacking and how to prevent against it, like SQL injection, could also be taken down and those that use YouTube as a learning tool would become unaware such an attack.

itrr14 got a reaction from martward in GPU overclocking question
Yeah, no problem. My card can do more if I push the fans to 100% and that. But that's in theory. In practice, I get 4400MHz on the memory and Anywhere from 2020 to 2100MHz on the core as GPU boost takes over.

If you really want the most out of your card, you can try the Auto Overclocking with the Pascal cards. You can get the best performance at every voltage point, and then GPU Boost 3.0 will figure out how hard to push your card.
  22. Agree
itrr14 got a reaction from Hunter06 in GPU overclocking question
It means that the BIOS that came with the card cannot provide any more voltage and it will lower the clocks to operate within the voltage limit (as you have not touched voltage yet)

As for the crashes, it could mean that the overclock is too high. Some programs and games push different parts of the card and your CPU. For example, I could run Heaven benchmark and 3D mark for hours with no problem, but trying to play GTA5, I got a driver crash, and on second attempt, I got a BSOD with a driver error. Lowered my overclock to be less aggressive, no problems since.

Just remember, you don't have to push it to the limit, as GPU Boost 3.0 will do that on the core by itself. As for memory overclocks, those are some nice numbers. But if problems persist, you can try lowering, and it could help with stability.

itrr14 got a reaction from SnowyMus in why 7700k temps are 20ºC higher than 6700k ones?
Not the case. They used poorer TIM and shotty techniques, which increases temps. Using more or less wouldn't affect heat.

The reason why in the first place de lidding even drop temperatures is Intel uses too much epoxy around the edge to attach the heat spreader to the chip, which means Intel needs more TIM to conduct the heat. Although this is present in both the 6700K and 7700K.

You're forgetting that, TFlops are calculated the same, but the performance of each TFlop is very different.

Thats like saying a R9 390X at 5.9TFlops is much better than both a 1060 and 480, but in reality, it is worse.
