Yep that year was rough for many android manuf as Samsung was legit the only choice in USA at least. they ditched the Snapdragon 810 and went with there own chip for this reason every other manuf had to use the 810 but many actually used the slower 808 which was at some tests faster and better due to thermals and power draw.

I Picked up the S6 as again due to snapdragon sucking it was  a clear choice. 810 did ge revised a bit but it was too late and still not perfect.

Both Intel and AMD CPUs have a base clock speed and a turbo speed *1.
Both Intel and AMD offer unlocked CPUs while all AMD Ryzen CPUs are unlocked *2.

And no, overclocking is not necessarily the same as turbo boost.

    Notes:
*1 - Except Intel Celeron and Intel Pentium
*2 - A B350 motherboard or better is required for overclocking.

Currently based off the past a 5 year old CPU with 8GB DDR3 and Just a upgraded GPU will still Kick ass gaming wise. Desktop use is probably pretty good too.

Streaming and playing games, Muti monitor Gaming on one and other stuff on the others , Rendering videos / productivity work. ECT is the stuff that would benefit the most from an upgrade more often. and a 5 year old CPU might not be cutting it.

Going foward who knows if a Ryzen 8 core 1800X will be outdated feeling.

But there does seem to be a connection to the type of parent who gives a 6 year old a $700 phone just because. and also sucking at parenting and creating a selfish monster lol.

ive done some decent autocad work personally and have used a $400 quadro card and a $250ish GTX/ R9 cards the GTX and R9 blew it out in terms of performance. but realistically the quadro card was way slower but more money.

Im sure if you had work that you knew was for quadros double precision making a difference it might be better use or if you have a budget thats Really High because comparing the vaule per dollar the quadro is not a great option. but the REALLY high end ones can be faster talking P6000 at $5,000.00 USD  otherwise id just stick with the 1080.

Adobe premier can use 2 GPUs for rendering videos but only one for playback of them.
I dont believe autocad and solidworks can use more then 1 GPU but unless your blowing insane money on the Quadro the 1080 should be better also.

Edit: Quadro Cards do get Program specifc Drivers to help them. Ive never seen this matter.  but i could see a weird problem or two this might help with on a very rare occasion. Though thats a completely no info backing it up maybe Guess that im just giving some maybe credit to the drivers lol

i think it should really just depend on the situations Mainly.

If a kid plays sports/ after school activities goes to a friends house after school because you cant get out of work early enough to get them/ watch them.
In these situations A very young 6-8 years old is some times reasonable.

Without mainly any real reasons besides just because id just get them a tablet when there young and then a phone at 9-13. Not everyone can afford a cellphone for a 10 year old kids they are not very Cheap to have and some people are just struggling to eat dinner everyday then pay for a phone.

No way would i give any Kid a phone more then $250  at 15 or older id consider a more $ phone but budget phones are pretty good now days. plus at least when i went to school kids stealing phones and or loosing them and breaking them was pretty normal.

Its cool if you have a job or something and were able to offer to pay for the iphone but If its from Birthday money or Presents youll understand one day that barley counts as offering to buy it as it wasnt earned or worked for money.

as i get older i sort of appreciate the nicer hardware now days. Like a Blade  Macbook surfacebook. Though in the past i always saw it as a waste of money still do to some degree but it has shrank a lot of how much i think its a waste. Id really love a light and protable gaming/ nice laptop. if macs just had a better GPU i dont think they would be as bad imo in there price brackets

Seems like it gets more full charges and a higher retention then current batteries. Personally after 1 year 365 charges my phones do seem to be around the 70% mark and only getting worse each day.

but typically have between 300 and 500 full cycles before they reach 70 per cent of their original capacity - equivalent to a couple of years of use, although this graph from Battery University shows that capacity begins to drop fairly quickly:

This is garbage due to the fact that its calcualting 2.5 hours on one specific game who spends 900 hours on every single game they buy? Most gamers have never hit 900 hours in a game period ever. thats 37.5 days played on a single game Most ive hit was 8-10 on COD MW2 back when i didnt have a job as a kid. and thats only 200-240 hours.........

I agree games have not went up in price in a long time and They probably deserve some small hike. but while they haven't gotten more expensive with inflation the other side of things is that productivity to make the games has gone up also to help keep it even.

the error is no one spends 900 hours on every game they play. i have never spend even half that on a single game.  that would be like caclulating the move as watching it 15 times. pretty rare someone does this.

yeah there suggesting that 2.5 hours a day at 365 days a year 912.5 hours a year is spent on a single game every time you buy one..... i have dozens of games with less then 5 hours played i could easily BS and say games are the most expensive entertainment at that point thats 4x the cost of going to the movies per hour $. Its dumb as shit and they just made the numbers look this way on purpose everyone can spin these there. they have no proof that the avg time on every game bought is 900+hours at all.

This sounds reasonable at first, but in reality it is false. Let's look at EA's financial records shall we?

    2006
    Net revenue - 2.951 billions
Cost of goods sold - 1,181 billion
Gross profit - 1,77 billion dollars
Money spent on development - 0,758 billions

    2017:
    Net revenue - 4,845 billions
Cost of goods sold - 1,298 billion
    Gross profit - 3.547 billions
Money spent on development - 1,205 billions

So from 2006 to 2017 the cost of development increased by 59%, and their gross profit increased by 100%. This whole idea that companies need additional revenue streams is simply not founded in reality.
They make more money now per dollar invested in developing games, so I don't think the whole "it costs more to develop games" argument holds up. Also, we're talking about a company with a gross profit of 3.547 billion dollars.
They could give each and every of their employee a bonus of 333158 dollars and still make a profit of 1 billion dollars.

    Edit:
Another thought I had regarding this, who is to say that movie tickets should be the yard stick for dollar per hour? Maybe it's those things that are overpriced and games are reasonably priced? Movie theaters are not exactly know for being reasonably priced.

    Edit 2:
Holy crap as someone else pointed out this guy says games are cheap if you spend over 912.5 hours in the game. What about the average game where you might spend ~10 hours? All of a sudden games are expensive and should actually drop in price.

Seriously though, what a load of nonsense. Games are designed to be play and forget experiences just as much as TV shows and Movies are, thats the whole reason why this currect bullshit has taken hold. They claim "games as a service" but the fully understand that outside of a few fringe cases games are played for a few months tops then their uninstalled and never touched again.

Try 2 hours every other day for 2 months, 3 tops, and see how those figures work out.
