CrabCreations reacted to Ookami in How much would you pay for GTA V on PC right now?
I would say they made V for PC as base platform then locked settings at LOW for consoles and then release with higher settings when next generation consoles will hit the market. I would go as far as saying that on one site date of release of PC was in 11th November which would be nice (mainly for $$$) for Rockstar to release V for next gen right after the launch of Xbox One for example and with that also PC version. Adding Xmas sooner than later also next sells.

CrabCreations reacted to Face2Face in Which Upgrade ? - 7950
I posted this on another forum, but I figured I would share it with you since you have a GTX 570.
Here are some benchmarks for Crysis 3, BioShock Infinite and Tomb Raider. Test system: • Intel 3570K @ 4.8GHz • Gigabyte Z77X-UD4H • 16GB Samsung DDR3 @ 1600Mhz • Corsair Force 3 240GB SSD • PC Power & Cooling MKIII 600 watt PSU • AMD 13.6 Beta drivers • Nvidia 320.49 drivers Crysis 3 You can see my benchmark run through HERE and the settings used in the screenshots below. Comparing reference clocks we are only seeing a 19% increase in performance with the 7950 over the GTX 570. As you raise the clock to 900/2200 the GTX 570 equals the 7950 at reference speeds. Pretty impressive, I was surprised at how well the GTX 570 plays Crysis 3 at these settings. The average overclock for a GTX 570 is around 900Mhz on the core, comparing that to the average overclock on a 7950 of 1150Mhz puts the 7950 ahead 33%. Tomb Raider I used the in-game benchmark with Ultimate settings. See the settings screenshots below. Comparing reference clocks we are seeing a 32% increase in performance with the 7950. The Overclocked GTX 570 at 950/2200 comes within 3% of the stock 7950. Comparing average overclocks the GTX 570 falls behind by about 50%. BioShock Infinite For this benchmark I used the in-game benchmark. Its option number 2 (DX11 w/DDOF) then I run it in 1080P. Stock for stock the 7950 pulls ahead by 35%. Comparing average overclocks the 7950 maintains its lead with over 50% more FPS. Going with a 7950 you should expect to see an increase of 30%-40%(up to double if you overclock) when playing BioShock and Tomb Raider. Crysis 3 was another story. Still one of the toughest games to currently run, Femi does flex pretty hard in this game. I am very impressed with its performance. Especially for a card that’s two generations old, numerically speaking. -

CrabCreations reacted to Excon in New build help.
There's a few parts i would change if I where you:
1. Don't get dominator platinum's they're overkill I have them I would know
2. Don't get a 770, wait for 9xxx @CoolBeans
3. Why 2 SSD's?
4. Unless you plan on SLI CF 860 watts is overkill
To answer your question get a H100i and a Corsair C70.

Hey Guys,
I just wanted to share with this forum my new build. It may not be the most modded and epic-looking badass rig but I'm open to suggestions and Ideas! I'm trying to keep my build set on a neon / uv reaction theme which uses these unique colours.
I've already sleeved my 24-pin and my pci-e until my psu died on me not long ago, had to change psu and for it being non modular, hadn't had the chance to re-sleeve my pci-e and sata power cables.
If you notice, I've also modded the side window with a custom sized plexiglass sheet and paint the frame of it in Arctic blue which goes well with the military green. I've also stealth-ed my front panel disk drive and change the power led colour to yellow.
Nevertheless, here is my Build:
= 1050 USD $
Case: Corsair C70 Military Green
CPU: Intel® Core™ i7-3770k Processor (OC 4.3Ghz)
Motherboard: MSI Military Class III Z77MA-G45
GPU: GTX570 (Saving up for Nvidia's GTX 700 series)
RAM: Corsair Ballistix Sport 8GB (4x2)
PSU: Corsair GS700 2013 Edition w/Leds
Cooler: CM Hyper 212 Evo Push/Pull (Also saving for a liquid just for the epic looks)
HDD: 2TB 7200rpm Seagate Barracuda
Uv Reactive Green/Orange Sleeving made by me :) More Updates Ahead w/ Pictures -

CrabCreations got a reaction from zip2k4 in Are full towers even necessary anymore?
I have to agree with you, sure full towers might look great and offer more features, in the end a mid-tower is more than enough for everyday use & gaming.
I'm happy with my Vengance C70 ;) And to be honest, those massive case are kind of "too much" for my taste.

CrabCreations reacted to Cs342 in Are full towers even necessary anymore?
+1
Also, there's really no point having a huge case that you will literally never fill up. That's my one big issue with full towers. I've seen many beginners get cases like the HAF X or Corsair 800D for their first builds just because they think that they are going to magically have the money to throw 3 graphics cards in at some point in the future. Chances are if you can't afford something now, by the time you can afford it you will want something else.
