    What cooler and download HWMonitor.

    Also, go to the BIOS and make sure that MCE (multi-core enhancement) is turned OFF/DISABLED. This feature is effectively overclocking, just with a "fairly low frequency" (boost across all cores) and overcompensates the voltage, putting extra "wear and tear" on your chip. The quickest way to overclock would be to set your vcore manually (start at 1.25) and set speed to 4.5ghz. Set LLC (load line calibration) to auto. See if that is stable. If so, keep bringing the vcore down until games and tests become unstable. Once you find that level, bring it up a bit until stability is reached.

    especially when the kind of people that usually buy these come to me and rant "this thing crashes my computer when i install the drivers" "but you have to install the drivers without the card in your pc" "but i dont want to open my pc, make it work without that!"

    because we all know that the IT department is staffed by magicians.

    sounds like a driver issue..

    try booting into safe mode.

    Found out that ping does indeed return an exit code and that you can check the exit code of the previous programm by using %errorlevel%.

    @echo off ping router if %errorlevel% NEQ 0 (disable_device timeout /nobreak /t 10 //Wait 10 seconds enable_device ) And after some testing it seems to work.

    EDIT: If someone is curious: I use devcon for disabling and enabling the device

    Yep it will save a program from crashing if more is needed. Is there another drive you could put it on?

    Hold up, there is a lot of misinformation here.

    You are running a 144hz monitor, meaning that your card is going to run at a higher frequency than the normal idle speeds. Nvidia said they fixed this, but they haven't. I still get the same issue.

    That higher clock speed is going to produce a little more heat. 65C is perfectly fine for the card to idle at with no fan speed. Mine do exactly the same thing and you should not be worried about your card. Don't go tearing it apart to try to get the temps down. Listen to what @TheCaptain53 said.

    Well... without having to buy anything... that makes it a bit tough.

    The best recommendations that I can give would be:

    1: lower your fan speeds through the motherboard UEFI, the slower a fan spins the quieter it is.
    2: clean your PC, dust buildup prevents airflow and insulates the heatsinks and causes higher temperatures and louder fans b/c they have to spin faster to cool
