It's pretty sad to hear that the industry has made that the default for high-end phones, but OK then. What phones with an excellent screen and stereo audio would you recommend, then?

Regarding the S23 series, the S24 is scheduled to release in less than 2 months so it may be good to wait for those to come out.

Pixel 8 Pro/Pixel 8/Pixel 7a are also good options, but lack microSD and 3.5mm as well.

I will say The Pixel 7 pro was a contender for me against the S23 Ultra. So was One Plus and Xiaomi, but Pixel 7Pro was the final head to head.

the screen of Galaxy S23 is very good, but it has neither microsd slot nor a headphone jack, so that's a no-no to me.

I had the same issue with trying to find an upgrade for my S10+, with the same "needs a micro SD card and a 3.5mm jack"

After months of looking around I still ended up with an S23 Ultra; I bought a higher capacity internal storage and a cheap pack of dongles for my headphones to convert them to USB-C. I've gotten used to it over the last 8 months and so far I havent missed having a micro SD card slot and have been neutral on the headphone jack.

    • Between $700 and $1400
    • Preferably more than 16GB Vram

Something to also potentially also keep an eye on is the rumored (upcoming in January) 4070 ti super, which is rumored to boost the 12GB VRAM to 16gb. I  know this might not be in the cards to be able to wait for, but depending on how important VRAM and power consumption are, this might be worth seeing what the fuss is about.

    Factors For Purchase

    • Power efficient (power is expensive here, especially during winter... 300%+ increase at the worst)

You may want to go with the 4070ti then

(This slide is supposed to say 4070ti, not 4080ti)

That being said, there's merit to still going AMD and undervolting your card to reduce power consumption pretty significantly. (Side note I heavily recommend her channel based on how much she does power pricing analysis for high power bill users)

lian li 216, Masterbox TD500 mesh and the Meshify 2 compact. What are your thoughts on these?

These are all great options. The 216 is my personal favorite of the three because I'm a big fan of big fans (heh) but the Meshify 2 compact is built really well. I've built in the predecessor Define series and it's my favorite that i've built in so far.

Many people will also point you to the Corsair 4000D airflow and the Phanteks P400A as good cases in the $100-ish bracket

@TVwazhere was once a great folder,

But unfortunately his hardware got older,

With his wallet weighing very little,

He found himself in quite a pickle.

He had a gander high and low,

To find currency so he could grow,

But alas it was not meant to be,

So relegated from the top ranks was he.

This is not chatGPT, which is probably why it's crap but, I tried
