Stefan Payne got a reaction from Schnoz in Throwback to when I did this How many things can you count that are wrong with this i
Ah, just a bit oversized GPU in that good old system.
And the CPU is a bit on the hotter side...

Good thing is you can dump insane amounts of Memory inside old AMD Systems as you can throw in registred ECC RAM (if you have the right Board of course) - wich I also have in my A8R-MVP - 2x2GiB Infineon Registred ECC DDR-3200...

Well, the GPU has not enough Memory (so probably a 780ti with the wrong Device ID)
The SSD is probably not an SSD but a 10k WD Raptor or something in that direction.

Stefan Payne got a reaction from LukeSavenije in well, tomshw has been a big load of circlejerking... literally all the builds are won
    What do you expect??
From something's Forum that's hyping nVidia for no reason, without knowing what its actually be like. Just BuY it, dude.

And if you don#t get Intel with nVidia GPU and Seasonic PSU, you don't know what you talk about m8!!111

Stefan Payne got a reaction from Cyberspirit in One of the few times I would side with ISPs: When the music industry claims high-spee
    Can't those companys just die?!
We do not need or want them.

Stefan Payne got a reaction from iLostMyXbox21 in will unplugging a psu multiple times (the cord from the psu) damage it? i’m asking be
IMO it depends how long its not connected.
If we're talking about many days not connected, it makes sense.

If we talk about a couple of hours, then it doesn't. IMO 8h is the point where it makes sense, the more the more sense it makes...

Yeah, X58 is a real hottie....
And that looks like its a good old LGA1366 OEM Board, because of the three DIMM Sockets.

HDD Hot Swap cages would be a slolution.
Or a case that is made for this. Like the SR-107 I had once. But sadly I got rid of it.

Stefan Payne got a reaction from 8uhbbhu8 in Well I think we've finally come across a macbook that I'm not going to fix by washing
looks like overcurrent on the connector without over current protection.
    Sad...

You see the usual Problem with PSU here, @JDE
People tend to believe strongly in something and ignore the facts.

You should be able to shut them up if you mention that nobody can be that much better than the other when _YOU_ can get all the parts to make a PSU (except the PCB) from Mouser and Digikey.

And then they will start to insult you because you have the facts and they have nothing...

I wouldn't say most of it but I'd use many of those as well...

I'd differentiate the lower end by DC-DC and fan.

Especially great unit (Like Master Watt MIJ)

Gold or better with DC-DC and good fan
Gold or better with DC-DC and sleeve fan

If DC-DC and high quality fan, but bronze.
DC-DC but not so great (normal Sleeve Fan)

    Group regulated, decently protected.
    Group regulated, badly protected
    Group regulated EXPLOSION.
