TrickyWitcher got a reaction from pettore84 in Can GPU sag damage the PCI slot?
I have a Maximus VII Hero, so I really don't want to damage it at all. I currently have an XFX R9 280 3GB. It sags a little, but not that much as to damage the PCI slot, IMO. If you line up your view with the PCI Slot, you can see the card fills in the whole left of the slot, but a little of inside slot is visible to the right of it. Like maybe 2-3MM. I'm going to replace it in two months, would I be fine until then? I'll try and get pictures.
Also, would the Gigabyte G1 Gaming GTX 970 be a good choice? For it's backplate, to help with the sag? I also have a H440.

To start here, if you don't know file I/O already, I'd suggest looking at https://docs.python.org/3/tutorial/inputoutput.html. If you're not using Python 3.7, a drop-down menu on the top of the page will let you select the version you are using, though I don't think Python 3.x has changed much.

CSV makes it easy, since you can remove the characters you don't need using .replace() and then use a .split() to get each item as a list.

Well, as long as behaviour like this is normal with VSYNC, I guess I have nothing to worry about. I just thought this was a hardware issue. All benchmarks check out too. Heaven, Valley, Firestrike, etc.

The integrated GPU is the one device whose driver you needn't bother removing because when you install a PCI/PCIe GPU the integrated one is automatically disabled in the BIOS (or you disable it manually in the BIOS depending on your motherboard model).

yes, you should keep them. in case the Nvidea GPU breaks, you will have something to fall back to. they will work together perfectly.

That VRAM is a HUGE factor.  You'll be able to run all your older games just fine on both, and all your newer games good on both.  But only AMD's cards will be able to run your older games at 4k great.  Which means down sampling for you at 1080p, which means GREAT image quality.

Too close to call, personally right now i'd go with the AMD card because currently they are doing way better with DX12 and drivers at the moment.

I'd say MSI, but if you can strech it I'd go for the Sapphire R9 Fury(non-X) if you're in the USA. It has a backplate, awesome cooling, and decent OC ability.

TrickyWitcher got a reaction from SkulD in Is it just me or are NVIDIA drivers getting worse and worse?
It seems that almost every driver since 347.88 has been riddled with crashing, stuttering, etc.
My SO's AMD build is having no issues on 15.7.1(Windows 8.1) and my 980Ti build on 353.30(Windows 8.1) is having a plethora of issues, from Chrome crashing, to games stuttering(mainly CS:GO). I also tried the latest, and it's even worse, so I rolled back.
It seems to me that AMD is better for drivers now.
AMD takes their time, and while it may be too much time, it also means that it's stable and usually offers a decent FPS boost.
NVIDIA may release quickly and efficiently, which is great for new games, but it seems to screw over current games and general usage.
    I wish 347.88 supported the 980Ti...

I'd still recommend the single 980Ti, single GPU over dual GPU always. But... power bill? Is this a thing? You're looking at maybe $5 more, unless you're in Nigeria, or some African country.
Power never mattered until NVIDIA released Maxwell and started making a fuss about it.
