H440 material it's made out of?

I notice some irremovable smudges and some chips on my case. What material is the Red and Black H440 made out of? Can I paint over it? Can I just put a case badge over it?

Not sure what it's made out of, but you can paint it. Trouble is matching the colour to that of the case. Plastidip would be the best option, as it can just be removed later. 

 

Putting a case badge over it would work as well.

It's made out of high quality steel that's just been painted. ;)
