As cool as this is, isn't this what the humble indie bundle didn't want to become because they where something different from steam and GOG? Now they are all the same.

Work Station:: Cooler Master Storm Trooper // i7-3930K @ 3.9 GHz // Asus Sabertooth X79 // Corsair Vengeance 16GB (4X4GB) 1600 MHz // Cooler Master 1200W Gold // Xonar Essence STX // Radeon HD 6970 // Avermedia HD Live Gamer Pro

Gaming Rig:: Cooler Master Scout // i7-2700k @ 4.0GHz // MSI Z68 // G-Skill Ripjaw 16GB (4X4EB) 1066MHz // Antec 750W Bronze // Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi HD // EVGA GTX 670

It seems that you might be implying that this is not a good thing. I think this is a great thing, any competition with steam is good! Especially considering steam sales have been less impressive recently.

I'm not saying it is necessarily a bad thing. Even though competition is great and we need more to keep steam in their place, This isn't exactly what we fell in love with when we all hopped on the humble bundle train. I think now they are just using their angle wings to fly into a different business model which is more or less different then what made them popular and I fear this is their first step into changing towards something we don't want them to be. Who knows..... :/

It makes more sense if you follow a certain line of thought with a link most people do not know about.

1. Start with pay what you want bundles done every couple months, to give time to build/stabilize tools and infrastructure.
2. Give indies the power to place widgets on their websites to leverage humbles work building a stable way to purchase and distribute stuff.
3. Bring together all the people already in the system using either of the first two ways, into a central hub to find and buy games.

Number two is the link most people do not know about.Also several indies are using humble to distribute reward tiers from their kickstarters, to outright just using humble instead of kickstarter thru the widget system. It looks to me to be just a nature progression of the steps before it.

Also you got to look at the price breakdown too.
Steam: 70%Dev / 30%Valve
Humble: 75% Dev / 15% Humble / 10% Chartity
