Is this PSU reliable?

I'm looking for a decent and affordable 500W PSU and I came across the Segotep 80 Plus Gold GP600G 500W Power Supply Unit on my local online store. I know it isn't listed in the PSU tiers but it seems pretty reliable and comes with a 5-year warranty. Should I get it? Price is in Malaysian Ringgit. (MYR)

I have never heard of it, so I wouldn't recommend it. Look at the corsair cx450m, pretty solid psu for the price.

Get the Seasonic S12II 520w.

IT is gold rated and have 80 + rated efficiency. Usable but now where to be seen in whitelist or tier list. If you are on super budget then get it. But I would spend a bit more for a good quality PSU that is known to be good

Sounds super sketch. At the very least get something like an EVGA G1.

Overall just don't get Corsair CX/builer series, or EVGA's low end, otherwise look for seasonic or XFX TS or Superflower, no clue what's available over there

80+ gold says nothing of quality.

80 + means the psu uses enery more efficient. Says nothing about quality

Hmm. Load regulation on the tests conducted by plugload looks fine, but the unit may be cherry picked.

i don't think segotep power suplies are good, i'd recommend the corsair CX650M for a few ringgit more or the FSP hexa+/hyper if you wanna save some money.

Digging up I found that it's probably a fine PSU. Assuming its marketing is right, at least it's a fine one.

Chinese company. I would realistically expect low quality components and shoddy build quality. I would avoid it.

honestly, I would stick to a well known name brand, I can't find anyone that has scoped it or the manufacturer. I can only give you a real opinion once i have seen oscilloscope results.  

do you have any other options we can choose from? peace of mind is a big thing, if something goes wrong it can take out other parts of your pc and it's a slim chance getting someone to warranty them once that happen.

Better Safe(sonic) than sorry. A few recommended a Seasonic S12 and I'm gonna do the same but nod to the M12 which often costs the same and is modular.

It has sub-lettering in Chinese... That's always a bad sign. Don't get it. 

Looking at that website, there is the S12/M12. There is also this CXM series which is one of the new refreshed models, and costs the same as the S1II.
