HD Audio cable doesn't reach motherboard.

Freeeeezy

I've been without HD audio since I build my PC (about 6 months) but it's been fine since I have a USB based gaming headset, but lately I've been finding myself not wanting to wear a big headset just to watch some Netflix or youtube videos so I've been looking for a good set of speakers.

From what I've seen there aren't any decent USB speakers so I was wondering if there is a way to extend my HD Audio cable in my PC? If you find such an adapter, a link would be great :)

You could just plug headphones into the back panel audio

Skip front audio and just plug it into the back.

They make extensions. They're cheap too.

lol New mobo might be in order. Its mATX in an ATX case which is why the HD Audio doesn't reach far enough. Forgot about back panel audio lol. Thanks for the help guys.

Rear panel audio is often better quality than the front extension, as the analogue signal isn't passing through your PC, past all the components.

Plug em in at the back.  they should just completely remove front audio, it's so bad, don't know why anyone would use it.

Also budget for the speakers?

Just plug the speakers into the back of your PC. Done.

Note: I have used the audio connections on my motherboard (back of PC) since I built my PC too (6 months as well) and it has been fine. I do however keep my pc on/next to my desk a quite a high level so it is really easy for me to just forget front panel stuff altogether. But I made a custon case myself out of wood (Looks Badass in my eyes) and I dont even have any Reset or USB connections on the front either. All I have is the power button so stop complaining m8.
