Im Canadian and I'm still cofused. We write it as $402. Unless perhaps Quebec writes it like 402$. You never know with them.

Yea QC is pretty fcked up. That's where I am from and they do it like this: 402$. Still better than the imperial system tho. (u mad 'murica?)

I write it 402$. I'm in AB.

Someone told Luke and Linus at CES 2017 to "Unban the legend known as Jerakl" and that's about all I've got going for me. (It didn't work)

Ok so I got curious and found this. Looks like in English text the "$" is meant to come before the amount, and in French text the "$" comes after the amount.

For me it's because I think of the "$" symbol as the word "dollars".

So in my mind "dollars 402" doesn't make sense. So I just automatically type it "402 dollars".

lmfao what? First time I've seen people legitimately right money down with the dollar sign at the back. Now I have all these questions haha. Do you guys do it in programs like excel and stuff? Or you just stick with what everyone else does for stuff like that for consistency? Cause even outside of the dollar, most other currencies (don't wanna say all cause not sure) state what they are first before their value. Man this is interesting.

The $ after the amount is a QC french thing. I live near the Quebec boarder so I see often enough were it isn't unusual but I didn't know that the rest of Canada found this to be so baffling. But eh, it all means the same
