Second monitor showing low resolution with Gigabyte GTX 970

Max_Summerbell

I recently brought a Gigabyte GTX 970 and am using both the HDMI port on it and one of the DP ports to connect my two BenQ GL2250 monitors with it.

When the computer exited sleep mode the other day the left monitor was at a very low resolution (1024x768) whilst the other monitor was at 1080p. It also isn't detected by the nvidia control panel as being the correct monitor (it says it is just a "Digital display").

I have tried several different cables and still can't seem to fix the issue. Any help would be really appreciated

try reinstalling the latest drivers with the problem monitor not plugged in and then try it

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

I have already tried that but to no luck.

Strangly enough I just restarted my PC and it worked fine but it only seems to happen when my PC goes into sleep mode
